Very inaccurate battery information.

It is very accurate battery information, and it is what Apple will use themselves when they decide on replacing a battery.

It gives actual capacity, and number of charge cycles. Knowing the true capacity of your battery is important information.

It's also light-years ahead of what you can get on other platforms. I've yet to find *anything* on Android that can read battery stats, for example.

Sure Apple uses this extremely buggy and inaccurate program. I literally laughed out loud when I read this. And it's completely unimportant info to the user.

How/why is it inaccurate?

How/why is it inaccurate?

Plug your iPhone in 5 times in a row and you'll get 5 different readings, it miscounts cycles inaccurate original capacity of battery. The damn thing doesn't even know it's a mac version opposed to windows click the upgrade and it will say thanks for downloading the iBackup Bot for windows and your using a Mac.

Is it normal for a battery percentage on a 5s to show 10% one minute then show 3% the next minute after the phone has been screen unlocked?

Not many apps open in the background besides bbm, Facebook, Safari loading static pages, whatsapp, gmail, settings, iMessage and music. Using 3G or edge in low reception but it never used to do this before.

I have also noticed that the spinning icon next to the network type icon (3G, wifi) remains spinning in Safari even after a page has loaded. I'm guessing this is not normal and might be affecting battery life. Can anyone shed some more light?

I also noticed my usage is pretty much very close to my standby even though the phone stays locked more than I have used it.

not true. it shows exactly the same thing. it's not that difficult to read charge cycles.. you can see them on any mac in the "about my mac". this thing just read them from the iPhone the same way. of course apple doesn't use THIS particular software, but who cares. my iPhone 4s is 2,5 years old and my charge cycles are at 815, which is pretty much correct. i charge it ± once a day. i guess i took good care of it

I thought it was bad. I am out of warranty. I bought it through preorder the day it came out. I am waiting on iPhone 6. The iPhone i have is jailbroken. Any Tips to help it? Should I just wait and buy a 6 when it comes out?

I actually just did it again and now it says 813

You can get iPhone 5 batteries on eBay, some say they are OEM even though they aren't. I bought one for my 5 when I felt the battery was gone. I don't think the one I got was genuine but it made a HUGE difference for only like 5 bucks.

Just bite the bullet get a new Apple battery and be done with it and go on with life. Your current battery is toasted. You don't really have any good other options. Aftermarket batteries are usually garbage anyway.

Battery life

My battery capacity still seems ok (1216 mAh) but I only get a few hours out of a full charge on my 4s. Any idea of what the problem could be?

I am willing to replace the battery but it doesn't seem to me like that would fix the problem if I am getting such bad performance with 1216 mAh left.

Anyone got a read out from a brand new or close to new iPhone 5 or 5s and the design v/s full capacity?

Hi all,

Just new here but getting annoyed and worried at my iPhone 5 lately.
Runs out of charge very quickly and then recharges from 5% to 40% in 5 minutes while getting very hot.

I ran the app and got these results:

CycleCount: 269
DesignCapacity: 1430
FullChargeCapacity: 880
Status: Success
BatteryCurrentCapacity: 54
BatteryIsCharging: true
ExternalChargeCapable: true
ExternalConnected: true
FullyCharged: false
GasGaugeCapability: true

Doesn't look too good to me. Got this phone as a refurbished replacement back in late november 2013. What do you think?
