Your opinion is your own, but what a load of crap. There are SEVERAL fantastic uses for it that have already been implemented.
Your posts are like an ode to crap so they're all usually quite hypocritical.

Absolute statements with no substantiation. Excellent stuff Allin44

Trackpad is great. Peek and pop seems like more work/time. Messages contacts when force touching an icon is too much of a crapshoot to be useful.

Cool technology, but implementation doesn't seem to be there yet.

Email mostly.

iMessage would be nice but the the list of names that appears should include unread messages.

Freaking this. The way that iOS chooses the 3 contacts that show for Messages is garbage. I have someone that's been stuck in the list of 3 that I haven't talked to in 2 weeks. How is that even useful?

And yes. If I could use 3D Touch to see my missed texts/calls/emails then I would use it a lot more.

I just cannot get the hang of that gesture

It was like that for me initially

But I stuck with it and it's a little bit faster than double clicking the home button now (because you only need to press once as opposed to two clicks) plus you get the cool haptic feedback when you go into the app switcher with 3D Touch which is a neat addition.

What I did though was I changed 3D Touch to "light" press level in the settings

Then you just press anywhere on the left edge of the screen and voila like magic it works quickly.

The one thing will make it difficult would be if you have a case that gets in the way of the curved glass and/or comes right up to the display. I don't have a case on my phone so I don't have to consider or worry about it. The area where I touch is to the left of the screen (anywhere on the left edge! But right where the display meets the curved glass)

You'll get used to it, if you stick with it.

It was difficult for me initially but now it happens right away. And you can still use double click home button if you need :)

Mostly to move cursor in text by depressing and holding keypad. I forget about it a lot as not a heavy user of features it supports.

Oh wow, this is a lot more spread out than I would have thought, nice to see that some people are making good use of 3D Touch features.

One function I would like to add is 3D touch on the contact photos in your Messages app. Give it a try, pulls up some pretty useful options in case you want to reach someone on your Messages list. Again, I wish apple publicized the 3D touch features better, found out about this feature in another MR thread.

Use it for:

Moving cursor around
App switcher
iBooks - accessing recently read books
Instagram peeking into videos (starts playing right away - no need to go into video and having to enable sound)

I find it to be pretty much useless. It has potential.
Issues I currently have:
  • Not any faster than opening the tab/app
  • No indicator that says "this app support 3D Touch"
  • Some of the results (like contacts and favorite) pull up info that is far less than useful
  • Haven't found that one function that just screams "Use Me!!"

So far more of a hassle than a benefit. Have to see what happens as updates roll out.;)

and these are?

I have yet to find it grants me an easier, faster, more efficient experience.

The quick actions incorporated into the Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram apps are, without question, faster than the alternatives.

3D Touch on the keyboard to move the cursor is far more accurate than manual selection.

Okay....
I killed FB months back, I don't use Ins, Twitter I'll have to take a look at.
The cursor I agree with.

I'm still waiting for more apps to implement it. I don't use many stock Apple apps. I mainly use Google services. I'm not sure I can see Google doing much with it, as it would ruin the consistency between how it's apps behaved on iOS and Android.

I am really liking the hard press on the keyboard for the "mouse" like function to select text. It's making me want to stick with the stock keyboard instead of my usual fave SwiftKey.

I honestly rarely use it. At times j used it to call my wife and move the cursor via text.

I'm using it, but not for everything that it can do.

I mostly use it on the shortcuts on app icons and using peek then bringing up the options to save images in safari.

Constantly in Safari for quickly sifting through crap news stories.

Flickr is now supporting 3D Touch with the new update
