Had trouble deciding between the first two choices. I use it daily and it has become part of my iOS experience but I only use it for specific functions, app switcher being a big one. But app switching is something in doing dozens of times a day anyway, so...

I also do peak and pop links especially on forums. That has been nice. Haven't been given a compelling reason to use it on the home screen yet though.
I only use it on the camera app. For a quick moment it can make all the difference in opening directly to slow mo or video as opposed to opening the app then swiping around. But yeah, still waiting for app devs to make use of this.

So it has been roughly a month since the launch of the 6S/6S+ and I am sure plenty of people here got their phones close to the launch date. I know its still early but figured a thread like this could help people if they were on the fence about the 3D touch feature, whether you own the phone or planning on purchasing one.

Please feel free to share your thoughts, especially if your thoughts don't coincide with the limited choices in the poll.

Things I have used it for:
- I started using many native apps again just given how quickly I can pull up functions (Mail, Maps, Notes, etc.)
- Text editing; the keyboard cursor and 3D touch selecting are game changers
- Multi-task has never been simpler, I prefer it to pushing the home button especially since I have a 6S+ but would still prefer to one-hand my phone when I can
- Peek/Pop along with the additional options after peeking (this is my favorite feature)
- Dealing with links and addresses in an intuitive way, I like not having to completely open the application just to see. This is more useful than dealing split-screen IMO.

As I am learning about new functions I am adding them to my use. I can wait for more intuitive functions and 3rd party support! One thing that did disappoint me is that a lot of these features aren't publicized, I found out most functions through experimenting or online forums.

I'm using it ALL the time. Every time I actually unlock my phone.

Using it frequently, however it seems that a lot of app developers are dragging in implementing updates. I've had like one updated app with 3D touch since I got this phone. Weak.

How is it for you? On my 6S+ for most links it is no quicker than just opening the link in another tab. Sometimes it is slower.
It's great, I can see immediately if it's clickbait. If it is, then I don't pop into it, if it's something that looks interesting then ill pop in and read.

I HATE using tabs.

I haven't really used 3d touch yet, but I'd like to, lol.

At this point, I use "hey siri" alot now that it doesn't require a plug in.

I'm sure this has been discussed (and clearly it's gone through the test) but is possible to press too hard on the screen?

Maybe it's just an adjustment period on my end, getting use to using it, but I'm guessing that new stronger glass really is stronger when it comes to actual pressure??

I can see it for unknown links you might want to check out before tabbing them. Typically I won't touch those.
I read news constantly, I use the peek feature to see if it's clickbait or not. Nothing sketchy, 3D Touch is just a powerful tool for quickly sifting through information for me

While I haven't turned this feature off on my 6S Plus, I don't use it hardly at all. I just haven't found its usefulness yet. Perhaps I will once more applications are able to take advantage of this feature.

I would use it a lot more if I could access it when using Spotlight. Having to search for the app in order to use 3D Touch seems inefficient. Faster to just launch the app from Spotlight.

I do use it as a text cursor all the time though.

Having received a Nexus 6p today to try out, it took only about 30 seconds for me to miss 3d touch, especially in apps like Instagram, and 3 hours later, that has just felt more pronounced. I keep pressing hard on the screen waiting for something to pop.

It was strange that Apple thought that this was a good idea. This was one of their worst ideas. A full year later and 3D Touch is just... redundant.

I use it occasionally. Can't say I use it all of the time, but definitely more than I use Siri.

Only for the app switcher, I use it pretty much exclusively. I never find myself double tapping the home button anymore.

Peek/pop takes too long to load a webpage for it to be efficient or useful really. It's okay for something like photos, but I still rarely use it for that.

After almost a year. I must say, I haven't found much use for the feature.

Seem to always use mine to read a message without sending a read receipt, and many more. 3D Touch which at first I was not sure I would use has turned into an amazing feature, and I certainly 'look' for it when I am on my iPP.

The only time I use force-touch is on the keyboard reposition thing...and better than half the time, I use the Swipeselection tweak instead.

In other words, practically never on 3dtouch.

I used 3D Touch for these 3 functions mostly:

1. New Tab command on the Home Screen for Safari.
2. Search command for the Music app
3. The keyboard trackpad

I would peek and pop items occasionally, but I mostly forgot about that function. Now that I moved to an SE, I only miss 3D touch a little.

I just honestly forget it is there. I use a 6s and a SE at work so both not having force touch makes me forget one of my phones does have it.
