Not that this is a sign or anything, but I'm starting work at 11am EST tomorrow. I never get to go in late. Could be a sign for me to stay home before then an customize the crap out of a new MacPro. lol

Multi is saying Wednesday because of the holiday.

i don't say much, but i've read a good amount of his posts and always found it amusing that people take such stake in what he says, like your quote above.

no offense to him or anyone, but he is just another guy waiting for the update like the rest of us.

Just passing along information. The date is debatable so I was just saying what he thinks. I actually think he is wrong but whatever. You should go back to not saying much.

The update should have come today. Apple hasn't updated the Mac Pros for a YEAR! adding a RAID card and dual quad core option is not and update. At least update the ancient graphics. I'm very disappointed, especially because HP has already announced their new desktops. At least give us a sign Apple!

haha, relax. i understand why he said the dates he did, but we all know Apple can be weird about when they release products. i hope tomorrow is the day, because i would love to make my way to the store and pick one up tomorrow!

WOW! This is what keeps me reading Macrumors forums!:D

Woah woah woah woah wwwwwwwoah. You think he is wrong? You think it is really coming tomorrow? That'd be pretty insane if it did arrive tomorrow.

Yeah. I don't think today was really a holiday, but meh. I don't really care at this point. I am quite sick of waiting really. I think it will be a little bitter sweet when it does hit.

Well I am going to go and configure my server now. See you in the morning people.

Then I highly recommend you buy a current machine with me if the update doesn't happen this week. lol Just kidding.

Yea, I'm heading out too. Please let Christmas come early tomorrow Apple.

I'm going to go for the "no update until January" option. This isn't a big X-mas computer. If there is an update, it will be small-ish and if that happens then maybe nothing in January.

Considering there are zero rumors of an imminent release, I'd say it's highly unlikely (though possible).

The rumors were a few weeks ago, and were dependent upon Intel releasing the new Harpertowns. Now that they have been released, rumor site forums are 'a flowing.

Big difference between general rumors (educated guesses) and rumors of an imminent release from a reputable rumor website.

Example of a general rumor (from first link above): "Apple is expected to introduce the new systems any time between mid-November and mid-January."

Example of an imminent release rumor, for the 11/1 Macbook: https://www.macrumors.com/2007/10/28/new-apple-macbook-on-tuesday-gma-x3100/

Before a new Mac Pro is released you will see a rumor of the latter type from AI, MR, and/or 9to5mac, virtually guaranteed. There have been no such rumors so far.
