It's been about an hour and a half for me...app store says "less than a minute remaining" but has said that for some time now and the progress bar hasn't moved in about half an hour.

Pause it and then pause it again

4hrs still left..

Took a little under 30 minutes using my college campus network connection. Blazing fast 2MB/s+ speeds up and down. It's about 3 times faster than my connection at home.

I'm about to hit an hour and it's not even half way done. So it will probably take 2+ hours.

I've got a 30M line, but is working at 12M's at 23 pings. And yet Lion is downloading at 600kb/s.

Whats going on!

I'm currently racing along at 90 kb/s. No joke..

Estimated download time: 16 hours.

Are you actually kidding me? Even with their servers being hammered..surely it can't be this slow!

I just did a speed test and it's happily reaching 6 meg..

ffs

22 minutes to download the whole thing on a 25Mbps Cable connection...

Apple's servers are probably the best in the world! EXCELLENT performance on the first day of launch!

With my current experience... i beg to differ.

Is there an easy way to throttle the connection from the App Store? I don't want it using up all my bandwidth. My kid will freak if his xbox live goes down the crapper.

Welcome to my world :) I'm really looking forwards to downloading it on my 1meg connection :(
There are benefits to living in rural France, but fast BB is not one of them?

It's going to take 5 hours

It started installing at 6pm and it's now nearly 9.30pm. It tells me that 2.08 GB out of 3.74GB has so far been downloaded. I'm using WiFi and there's another 2 hours to go. Very slow. Maybe it's the combination of WiFi and demand at the App Store. And then I've got to repeat the process on my daughter's MacBook Pro. Might start her download after mine is done, so hers works through the night. :apple:

40 min; should have been 6 min. But as we all run at the same time Apple Server farm just did what they could ... Not bad overall.
By the way: have a 100Mb/s glas fiber line; normally extreme fast.

Copied the file then locally to my other Mac to avoid bothering you guys still trying
