I'm not sure about this, but I think Azeris think they live in Europe. The cut off line is somewhere in the South Caucasus, but it's all theoretical anyway. Europe isn't really defined by Geography but by 'culture', which is a very flexible thing to define.

spn! Aren't the Baltics awesome. I really want to go back. I spent a total of little more than a week in the three of them. I'd like to look for jobs there.

Anyone keeping a tally of most and least visited countries?

I think you just volunteered. Offhand though, my not-surprising observation is lots of Europe and US, not so much South America and especially Africa.

I drove through Canada twice. Once to geet there, once to get back. Did you know border guards can be rude?

We all like to hear about this accident now (at least me :D).

Not all that interesting, on a flight from Bangladesh with Emirates (fantastic airline, by the way) they'd cancelled by connecting flight at Dubai, so that gave me a hotel for the night and I had a full day to explore the wonders of Dubai.

Dodgy bus station there- kept being offered working papers and prostitutes.

However, i did have an 'accident' in a campsite outside Amsterdam! No cars were involved either :D !

Then you must have had quite a few honeymoons, eh. ;)

I hope to be like you and visit that many countries. Some of the ones you listed are great. I'm dying to go to some of the ones you listed.

Hello, my name is Ian, and I'm 24 years old. I've been to around 30 countries, but I'm too lazy to list and check an atlas. :p

Scotland, Wales, England, and Northern Ireland all count because they have World Cup teams

But that's crap though... they're not individual countries for a start, it's exactly like spamming isn't it, boost your country count. :p

As for myself.

Austria
France
Germany
Ireland
Monaco
UK
U.S.

Clearly, you're just English and have no respect for your downtrodden co-Brittons. I bet you wouldn't be so bold if a Welshman were standing right next to you!

Um. No, you're right. It is just to boost my count. But it's at least almost somewhat semi-legitimate. I think it's more legitimate than counting the Vatican (which I also do), even though technically the Vatican is a country, it's really just going to a Museum in Italy (unless, you know, you have an audience with the Pope and do some breakdancing or something for him linky I mean, that's pretty cool). It's like counting another country for going to the British Museum or the Smithsonian institutions.

They're not countries? They have individual historys older than a great many other places around the world.Don't try saying that to a Scots or Welsh person.I'd also be a bit careful with the Cornish and Manx.
If you wonder why I left out the North of Ireland thats because the illegal statelet claimed by Britain always has been and always will be a part of Eire.

Nope... neither is Wales, England or Northern Ireland.

And if the Scots or Welsh don't like it, it's tough sh*t. :p

I'm half Irish actually. ;) :p

And believe me I have been so bold to Scottish and Welsh people to their faces. Many don't believe it, well the thick ones don't atleast. ;) :D

It's actually a common mistake many make, but I kind of wish they were individual countries, as it'd make my list look abit more impressive then it does. heheheh :p

I'd love to be as well travelled as your goodself, that's a pretty incredible list you have. ;) :)

It's a debatable point. Clearly, they are not states, which is I guess what I mean by countries. But they are countries in terms of being nations. One cannot have Welsh citizenship though (can you?).

But then should one count Indian reservations in the US? Have I been to the Navajo "country" when I was in Arizona? Doing so is certainly respectful to those peoples.

An area or expanse outside cities and towns; a rural area: a vacation in the country.
