40. Salary employee so I make sure I am not there anymore than 40 because I am not getting paid anymore. I make sure I bust my ass while I am there to ensure I don't work more than 40.

37 hours. Flexi time, must be in for core hours of 1000-1530.

Commute - 5 minute walk. I realise some of the Americans on here won't understand that concept, but hey. ;)

I work 20 hours a week as a research assistant, about 10-15 hours a week as a freelance proofreader, and 10-20 hours are spent doing projects and homework for classes/being in class.

My commute is pretty short, though, only about 15 minutes each way.

When I worked on oil rigs, the hrs were prob about 90-100 hrs a week and we would sleep essentially on site in our trucks as we were at times a good 6hrs away from our place of residence. I was on salary.

When I was working for the govt, I was on salary as well and 40-50 was the min you were expected to be there.

Now as a grad ra, I work maaaaybe 20 hrs a week. Quite nice!

Technically speaking it's 40 hours a week. Actual time spent working? Probably about 15 hours. The rest of the time is spent on forums :p and/or deciding which movie to watch until something work related actually comes up.

Where do you work? Are they hiring...?

I work 12 hour shifts, 2 weeks of days, 2 weeks of nights. Evens out to 42 hours a week before any OT. 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off, 2 on, 2 off. It looks something like this, (brackets being days off)

Fri, Sat, Sun, (Mon, Tues) Wed, Thurs, (Fri, Sat, Sun) Mon, Tues (Wed Thurs)

So if I want to get 7 days off, I only have to book off the middle Wed, Thurs, and BAM. A solid week with only 24 vacation hours booked.

40-48 hrs. Commute time 1hr 20 each way. I can work on my MBA during the commute so I sometimes leave earlier.

Would be an additional 36 + to 48 hrs a week if the NBA was actually playing. These hours posted above all dependent upon Major sports playing.

Monday - Friday is 8am - 5 pm

I do the occasional saturday morning, 9am - 12:30pm

However i am on call when the office is closed, i carry a pager or cell phone and get calls if i have a network go offline.

If i do not get summoned by my pager it is normally 40 hour week, if it goes off can be longer.

I am a train conductor. I don't know what run I am working until around 2:00pm the day before. I am guaranteed 40 hours a week, 8 hours a day, even If I don't actually work 40. Like today, I got called out for overtime. I took a train that had just been fixed on a 2 1/2 hour round trip to make sure it was running probably. That was the only thing I did today, and I got to go home when I was done with that train. I still got paid 8 hours of overtime for it though.

I have on of the least irregular schedules there are. The FRA only requires that we have at least 8 hours off between shifts, and we are not allowed to work over 12 hours in one shift.

I'm a freelance production electrician/designer sometimes and a union stagehand sometimes. Sometimes I don't work at all in a month, sometimes I work 100 hours in a week. The past 3 days alone have been over 40 hours, with one day being 18 hours. So, there should be an "All of the Above" option. :D

Usually 50-60 hours a week. Can be up to 80 depending on the type of work that week. My commute is about 20-25 minutes each way.

I'm a Manufacturing Engineer and I generally work at least 9.5+ hours/day, Mon-Fri. I work on weekends when I deem it necessary for my work load. My commute is normally 20 mins or so in the morning but around 45 mins in the afternoon.
