So I'm taking a little survey and poll to see how many different generations of iPhones you have owned. If you have owned 2 iPhone 4's that counts as 1 and so on. Are you a contract buyer? or a every year buy? Explain your story!

I have owned 2. The iPhone 3G was my first and the 4 is my current iPhone. I ordered the phone the day it was available for pre-register and have had it ever since. I was close to ordering a 4S but decided to wait till the 6th gen to get my 3rd phone!

2 for me: The original iPhone and the iPhone 4.

3 for my wife: The original iPhone, iPhone 4, iPhone 4s.

six:

  • iphone
  • iphone 3g
  • iphone 3gs
  • iphone 4 (at&t)
  • iphone 4 (verizon)
  • iphone 4s

if i had to do it over, i probably would have skipped the 3g and the at&t iphone 4, maybe even the 4s.

All five, and multiples of every one except the 3G and the 4S. Have owned about 15 iPhone 2Gs, that is my record.

Oh wow that is crazy. No idea what you would need 15 original iPhones for but thats a lot! Nice to know you've had every model. That would be a cool experience!

All five.

Owned:

2 original 8GB iPhones
3 original 16GB iPhones
4 iPhone 3G 16GB
4 iPhone 3GS 3 32GB, 1 8GB
1 iPhone 4 32GB
2 iPhone 4S 64 GB

My first was the 4 but now I have a 4S for AT&T. I got it as a gift. It was a nice upgrade but I miss the battery life of my old phone. It was great.

all of them especially the 2G I had all model 4GB, 8GB, and still have my new refurbished 16GB and 3G I had the 8GB black then went with white 16GB. Never had an 32GB until this year where I picked up a cheap 32GB iphone 4 factory unlocked.

Just one and currently still using it. The iPhone 4 16Gb. Locked to AT&T, but hoping that congress eventually passes a bill that requires all cellphones to be unlocked by the carriers, not every phone excluding the iPhone.

I've owned the iPhone 3G and iPhone 4S.

The 3G was an awesome phone until iOS 4 killed it. Almost completely turned me off from buying another iPhone again. Used a Windows Phone device for a year, accidentally dropped it in a lake, and when I went to buy a new one thought I'd try iPhone again with the 4S.

Haven't regretted buying it yet and hopefully that holds true for the next few years.

I've had all 5 since day one, have liked every one a little more than the last

I've had the pleasure of owning two, a 3G 16GB black on AT&T and a white Verizon iPhone 4.

The next iPhone (5?) will replace me 4 in due time.

A bit embarrassing, to be sure, but yes, all models since launch day. In fact, each one purchased on launch day- lines and all.
My wife thinks I am nuts as I ended up selling my iPhone4S and switching back to the iphone4. Only recently have I again purchased an iphone4S as I do miss the features provided and now that the jailbreak is available.

Still own each one too! The original is near flawless and kept quietly in its box. I know it'll really never be a collectable one day but I enjoy recalling how fun it was to anticipate its availability and the fun in purchasing it (not so much the $599. price tag though...).
