Hmmm... how did I miss this thread back in March...?

On the other hand, I've gotten a new Mac since, so now the list is as follows (time of purchase):

- Performa 630 (1994)
- Power Mac 7500 (1997) - later upgraded to G3
- PowerBook G3 Pismo (2000)
- iBook G4 (2003)
- MacBook 2.0 (2006)

I really want an iMac to complement the MacBook, but it seems to be impossible, statistics forbid it; I'm not getting my next Mac until 2009... :( :p

Hi....I was just talking to a friend and we started to compare how many Mac's /Apple products we have owned! So I sat down and did this, this is not including the Apple printers I bought early in my Mac adventure...the Powermac 9600 cost me about $6000 Canadian!!!!!!!! Don't even ask about the Powerbooks!
Please let everyone know how much you have put into Steve's pockets, no need for a visual bur it would be fun!
Thanks

4. Still own two. I had a Sawtooth G4 tower, then had an iMac G4 17" lamp shade (my fav of them all), and now have a jet engine whiring iMac G5 and a PowerBook G4 17". I hope to upgrade to a mini tower or maxi mini if Apple ever designs one... please.

My sister has a Macbook, but I don't think that counts for me.

I want a Macbook Pro, and should have one in a year or so.

Oh wow, what a thread. Let's see what I can remember....

Macintosh Plus
Quadra 700
LC II
Power Mac 8100
Power Mac 5400LC 200MHz (I really miss this one!)
Power Mac 9600 300MHz
a very short-lived PowerBook G3 "Pismo"

--the PC-only years--

PowerMac G4 Dual 1.25
PowerBook G4 1.67
a used 800MHz iBook G4 for a summer project last year

All said, it looks like 10, unless I forgot something. I had no idea my PowerBook was Mac 10--I should celebrate!

macs:

mac mini G4 (1.42 ghz)
15" Powerbook G4 (1.67 ghz)
17" Intel Imac (1.83 ghz)
soon to be Macbook (2.0 ghz)

ipods:
1 GB shuffle
4 GB nano (white)
60 GB ipod Video (black)

IIsi - mmm - 40 MB hard drive! - Still a beautiful box (love the design!) and runs the last I knew (donated), with RAM maxed at 17 mb and hooked up to a add-on 500 MB HD that was around $700. But those machines were all about the SCSI - wouldn't mind if that were still built in. And those keyboards were by far the best I've used - I think Apple used them up through the Quadra age. My goodness those were well built with wonderful feel.

Then my current macs listed in my sig - the dual 1.42 G4 PM and the 1.5 G4 PB.

I don't like digital music players for a long list of reasons, so no iPods for me yet. When I can actually own a copy of the song - rather than rights to put it three places, have HDCD or SDCD or DVD audio quality in a download, then maybe, until then it's a bit of a bill of goods in the name of portability and I'm not one that wants to listen to music as I walk around (although I do see the value for exercising). Oh but I digress. Just Macs.

Started with SE30 bought new ($3700?) and upgraded (first time inside a computer. Sure is easier to add ram now…) to a raging 5mb ram and couple years later, a 270mb HD. As of 2003, I sold it to a guy in Florida to run window displays. His SE30 died and he was grateful. Machines acquired through the years included the following:

SE
Classic
Color Classic
IIsi
LCII
LCIII
Performa 475
Performa 575
Performa 5200 CD
Performa 5200/75

Quadra 700

PowerMac 8500/150
Powercomputing Powercenter Pro 210
PowerTower Pro 225
Powerwave 150
Powercurve 120
Powercenter 150
Powerbase 275
Umax C600 240 (some kind of underprocessor cache thing made this run like a spotted butt ape WHEN it ran at all, finally pulled it due to instability. C600 case still sits in my shed…)
Umax S900 233
AIO G3 266-Beat the heck out of the first imac, had 3 of these.
Beige G3 233 upgraded to 450

Powerbook 190cs/66-2 in parts, made one working.
Powerbook 1400 c166
PowerBook 5300 c100
iBook G3 300
I’m sure I missed some…

All were either used at home, or bought personally and used in my elementary classroom. Most were bought 2nd hand, upgraded, then sold to buy the next. Some were donated (Ibook G3, iMac G4), and some were simply scrap that needed to be fixed. I’ve probably spent far more on the upgrades (processor, ram, video, etc.) then I ever spent on machines. No regrets.

Well the old iMac sits at my Grandma's gathering dust 90% of the time, the old iBook has a shot battery and is in my cupboard. The iMac G4 sits on the landing with all of our family's music on their so we can update our iPod's. The Titanium has a shot SuperDrive, it used to be our DVD burner on the move now it is mainly just used by my dad for email and internet. This PowerBook was my laptop for uni, its just the Combo model, i got the Black MacBook to replace it and although its a mad laptop (when it Works) it doesn't have the same sort of feel as the PB. The size doesn't suit being always on the move. So if anything i might sell the MacBook when it comes back, buy a new battery and start using thePB again, coz i don't do anythin of that much power on the move. That's what the Quad is for. The Quad if anything is overkill, but it was hard not to buy it coz i had enough to get one and knew that it would last in terms of speed for quite a while. With intro of the Titanium and the DVD burning all our relatives were getting me to transfer their old videos and slides and crap across to dvd. Anyway one day my grandparents bought across about 80 Super 8 tapes and Hi 8 tapes, plus all the other stuff we were getting from other relatives, we thought stuff it, get a quad. Now though with all that power i've started to look into animation, and have a toy with that, when i have time that is, im a full time student and manage to pull 40+hrs a week at work, so time is a premium. Steve will get plenty oof money out of me before my life is done.

I've owned three Mac's.

a Mac 512 (the first mac i believe?)
a Mac Plus (the second mac I believe?)

and now a MacBook Pro.

you reckon I missed about 20 years of Mac's in between? rofl.

first apple was an Apple IIc

Some sort of imac a very long time ago (One of those candy types)
Mini ipod
20g photo ipod
30g video ipod
4g mini
Mac mini
