I can barely reach all corners with my thumb on my 4" SE. Even though I do not need a new phone, I have considered the 12 mini a few times, but still refrained from buying it because I'm afraid it's still too big (and it's brutally expensive here in the Netherlands, especially when you want more storage).
Also, none of the colors really appeal to me, to be honest. The (product)RED is too orangey for my taste (whereas the red iPhone 7 & 8 I found to be very attractive).

The best "tie me over" is to buy a battery for your 6 and then get a new phone in September.

That or get one now.

I still have a 6 with 90% battery health, that phone is struggling to keep up with the newer apps and often became hot while trying to.

I say buy used XR/SE2 while wait for September.

Thanks, but if only it was just the battery.

The screen is flickering every so often and at least once a day, the phone turns off by itself.

Granted, this started happening after I replaced the old battery which was not giving me more than a few hours.

I find it interesting that some still hold on to this line of thinking. You realize the man that touted this "feature" has been dead for almost 10 years. Time moves on. Things change and evolve. Good luck trying to find a phone that suits your thumb reach criteria.

Green, 256GB mini. Tied with my other favorite phone, iPhone 5.

Went from 3g, 5, 6, XS, 12 Mini. They just kept getting bigger until the mini. I honestly wish it was a bit smaller, like iPhone 4 sized but full screen. That would be the absolute perfect size imo. But I'm still very happy with the mini. Gonna hold onto it indefinitely.

Had the mini and ended up getting a pro max instead. Wanted more real estate to watch videos and read and also the cameras are awesome.

As of Monday I will be a proud owner of a blue Mini. I’ve been using an iPhone 12 since launch and I’m just not happy with the size. Great device but large phones just aren’t for me. My 12 gets passed down to my husband and if he doesn’t like it either then I guess I will just sell it. I’m excited for Monday to get here.

Line of thinking? I find it ridiculous that some people think phone size is anything other than subjective preference. The idea that one preference is more evolved than another, or that anyone who doesn’t follow the majority’s preference is “holding on” to the past—that’s the absurd line of thinking. People are different, and it’s an unfortunate time for people who like small phones. That’s it.

ain't going to happen anymore unless you get a nokia 3210 lol

More added features will make the mini unbearable to the feeble weak armed mini owners, so it would be just as well if the added features omit the mini.
People who like the 12 mini aren't weak armed. Its more so a matter of not needing (or wanting) a large phone. It is no different than person A preferring an SUV, whereas person B prefers a Miata.

Better late than never. :p The blue color rocks. :D

My blue one is alright but a bit conventional. I could be convinced about the green, although at the time I decided that it's too washed out (like the red) otherwise I would have gone for it.

I don't think it is happening this year.
I have two disagree. I really really hope, and also believe it, for a power button integration. Not display touchID though at least in the cheaper models. I think the button would be big enough for it to work.

With Samsung phones for work, not flagships, display touch button only works maybe 1/3 of the time maybe even less. It's no flagship Samsung, A51 atm, but it really isn't reliable at all. A hardware touch button almost always works with dry fingers. And as I think masks will become somewhat of a necessity in the future and iPhone 13 Mini COULD be the last Mini I want it to be as future proof as possible. I don't need 120HZ in a mini display but a touch button would really be amazing for situations like this. FaceID is still the best though as it is way more convenient, without a mask of course :D .

How can you like the iPhone 4 size if you’ve never owned one by your own admission in your second sentence?

Some people do actually need iPhone fit in pocket like for example Deaf people like me need iPhone fit in pocket so can feel vibration when someone text me and you can’t feel it if iPhone in bag or backpack. So it needs fit in pocket. No way I am going hold it my hand. Hearing people can hear iPhone going off in bag or backpack if get phone call.
There are many other reason why someone want smaller iPhone fits in pocket.

"Unfortunate time"? You say that like things will turn around and phones will get smaller. The market has spoken. People(not me) want bigger phones. The bigger phones sell more.

Smartphones were smaller in the beginning because they were transitioning from the older dumb phones where, generally, smaller meant better. Now, for many, their phone is their all-in-one device. It's their smartphone, computer, and tablet and they don't want that in a small-screened device.

I understand that there are people that still want smaller iPhone 5 sized devices but I'm afraid those people are left out in the cold. iPhone sales skyrocketed for Apple when the "bigger" iPhone 6 and 6 Plus launched. The numbers don't lie for Apple. They're putting their shareholder's money where the money is. It's just the way it is.
