Tmobile went back on their word in my case.

I paid off the eip, $630 and have a $0 balance now, taxes were paid at original purchase. So over this.

Apparently my plan is now 'prepaid' and eligible for 200mb free without all the on demand crap.

Now I don't trust tmobile...

Sucks. Sorry.

They honored my deal, but it was not easy and required hours of my time. In the end I think it was probably 50% persistence and 50% blunt, dumb luck.

I ordered a sim for my iPad mini from their website. It just came in yesterday. Ported my tablet phone number over from verizon. Took out the verizon sim and inserted the Tmobile one. It took me to an activation screen to get the data setup. After about 5 minutes it was done. Restarted my iPad and everything is working. Free 200MB of data for life. I may upgrade to a rMini soon though. The old mini can't get Tmobile LTE.

How was this months bill for you?

Same situation. Was charged the On-Demand $10, but I called in and explained the situation. The CSR saw the notes and refunded the $10. I was assured again that the deduction would be automatic, but I'm guessing that I'm going to have to call in every month for the duration of my EIP.

It's still 0% financing and a free 200mb either way, inconvenient or not.

I payed off my EIP and called in to confirm the on demand would be removed.

Just like the other 20 calls they had no idea what they were talking about. They told me I had to continue to pay the $10 on demand for free 200mb since I didn't have a cell account.

I put in a new SIM in the IPad and set up another 200mb account and called T-mobile to cancel the line that had the EIP.

Now this should finally be over. I guess this ended up saving me money because I would have most likely switched my ATT lines to Tmobile with this months promotion. Glad I know better.

I get LTE with ATT in a 90 mile vicinity and a 2 mile area with Tmobile.

Sad to hear, but not surprised :(

Tmobile told me so many lies, were misinformed, and I felt pretty screwed over as a consumer. Long story short, I accepted the mistake and paid off the iPad Air in full. Never will I use them as a provider. My iPad will be joining AT&T in a few weeks for a data plan.

I do have an ipad mini lte with at&t but i decided to get on the tmobile deal. so i got the nexus 7 lte, with the 2.5gb plan and ended up paying for the sim card and tax. to like $40. i got my tablet in the mail and set it up. i thought the 200 mb was automatic but it isn't, there is a place you have to apply online to get the 200mb plan. by that time i had already used 18mb from my 2.5gb plan, but it looks like it piggybacks onto my currenty plan as well. i'm testing to see if i can stay under 200mb a month and i won't have to pay the $30 data fee, so im being pretty frugal know, since wifi is readily available for me at work and home. my bill online says i still owe $0, but i decided to put $40 on my EIP for the nexus 7 device, bringing it down to $344 owed. overall no problems with tmobile so far.

yeah they screwed me over as well. told me I wouldn't have to pay for anything but the ipad but they are charging me the $10 a month and im using 5megs a month. I am going to pay off the ipad and cancel this crap.

You're supposed to get a $10 credit every month to cancel out that charge. I would call CS if you didn't receive it.

I did call they told me since I don't have a voice line I don't get the credit. But that's not what they told me when I signed up.

So has anyone here had the $10 credit we've been promised applied automatically? My latest bill again shows the charge but no credit, so it looks like I'm going to have to call them every month. Just wondering if anyone has the automatic credit and if you have any tips on how to make that happen...

I paid mine off in full and then called to stop the $10 on demand data charge like the T-Mobile kiosk rep said I could do. They had no idea what I was talking about and said I have to pay for data. They also tried getting me to add voice and text to an iPad Air?

To solve this, I cancelled the line of service completely. Then, I bought a prepaid Sim from a different T-Mobile store. Last, I activated that as a prepaid and got the 200mb of data for free without needing an account with my credit card or information.

This free data experience was the worst, but I'm finally glad it's over now. T-Mobile has no idea what it's doing and customer service is so poor. Every time I talked to a different person, they had no clue.
