I can do thirty comfortably, forty if I push myself. How about you guys? :)

[EDIT: It's how many pushups you can do at once, until you're too tired to do any more]

Which style of push up are we talking about?

I'm assuming we're talking about the regular kind, however if you do other kinds list them too! I can do the triangle ones and the wide ones, but I haven't been doing them for long so I can't do as many of those as I can normal ones

I was doing regular push ups and able to get 45+ at a time. Once I found out that the Police test push ups in the wide style, I could only get about 10 so I'm working on the wide style for now. Lucky I found that out sooner rather than later.

Yeah, they are a bit harder. I struggle to do 20 of them

I tried this program about 1.5 years ago:

http://hundredpushups.com/what.html

I didn't finish, but I hit about 70 before I gave up.

I'm trying again now, but I'm only on week one.

I finished it, turned out 120 for about 3 months.

Valley fever and pneumonia for a year and a half, then six months lazy. I think I can do like fifteen now. I'm just about to restart.

I'm doing the program too. I really like it and am up to doing 100 pushups in one workout. Now I've got to get to consecutive then keep building from there. Such a good workout.

I think I could do around 40-50, haven't tried regular push ups for awhile. I usually do fisted push ups (i.e. my fists on the ground instead of palms) with very slow motion (~2s down and 2s up), impacts the chest better. Can hit about 30 of those.

So do I, I always get stuck at one particular day and never seem to improve. Then I slacked a bit.. looking to restart the scheme fairly soon.

That's the case with all exercises. You can get up to a certain point fairly quickly but then the progress stagnates.
