How do you do the clapping ones without hurting your wrists etc when you come back down? Sounds jarring...

To me at least, a normal push up is where, once laying down, you position your hands so the tips of your thumbs touch your shoulders. A wide push up, is where your hands are positioned where your elbows are when you're lying down with your arms out to your side.
I can do about 40... But I have been told I don't go down all the way, so maybe zero.
I do one every day - it's called getting out of bed.
Last time I tried a few months ago was 92, I can do 10 1-arm push-ups though.

Once I found out that the Police test push ups in the wide style, I could only get about 10
How do you mean they test your breath?Holy Cow!! Over here they only test your breath. I probably couldn't do even one if under the influence.
Back in the good old days I could do 63 in a minute. Now it's closer to three in sixty minutes.
