i generally do between 14,000 to 19,000 a month. All my friends text because its easier to get in touch, and i'm a 20 year old guy in college. My friend can beat everyone and she doesnt even have an iphone....39000 one month...dont know how she did it but she did.

LOL I love when people use that reasoning. It's $20 for many things that you may want. You could go broke applying that principle to every $20/month feature you want.

That being said Textfree (amongst others) is a joke for all the reasons mentioned previously. If your going to text message get a plan or convert all the people you know into using IM or email.

I happen to like the free texting apps. They work fine. All your contacts have to do is enter the name@freetext.com your given or if your slick get a google voice number and give your contacts that. Then all calls and SMS can be forwarded to the phone plus using the name@freetext.com can get forwarded directly to the free text app.

I never really found fault with the free text apps.

I use about 1,000 a month. The funny thing is that I am the only person with an iPhone on our 5 line family plan, and I use the least amount of texts and minutes.

I send at most like 20; receive maybe 30-40. I'm not a fan of texting. Email is free.

Between 100-200.

This month, I fear I'm going to go over 200. I'm at 120 (A little less, 117ish to be exact), and I still have 14 more days in my billing cycle.

well this is probably a good place to get this answer to something that's been on my mind since I got the iphone and i never wanted to start a thread for this question......
are push notifications (say the kind from my sport score apps) considered a text message of my txting plan?

thanks

not judging or busting on anyone, it's amazing how many txts some people send.... (2000, 4000, 6000, 10000, 15000 + per month) wow!! i think my eyes would fall out of my head....more power to ya....

I have about 8k texts with about 19 days left in my billing cycle, so I think it's pretty safe to say that I send well over 15k texts a month.

You should turn that texting into sex or at least masturbation.

15k a month is stupid.

No. Does not go against your texts.
