How Many Texts Do You Send A Month With Your iPhone?

I range between 500 and 1500 but never go above 1500 because that is the plan I have, once my son gets his iPhone I am switching to the unlimited Family plan
mine's between 150 and 200/month and i feel like i'm texting all the time! i can't imagine over 1000! 
my wife and i use it big time for short communications instead of phone calls. for example, i texted her today while grocery shopping b/c i couldn't remember if we had lettuce. simple and easy, but i can't see us ever stopping the texting.

39000 text monthly /30 days = 1300 text a day
1300 text daily / 13 awake hours = 100 text per hours
Jesus Christ what do you people do all day.
Even in college I couldn't see doing that many text everyday and manage to have a decent GPA.
There's nothing on earth you can talk about that much unless your just a messy person or run a business where texting is mandatory. I haven't seen a soul who can do over 4000 text and keep over a 3.5. If you can then you need a career multitasking for a company.

"what do you people do all day" LOL..... it is amazing, I just can't fathom it either but "hay" i guess it's not our cup of tea.... carpel tunnel syndrome of the thumbs and hands.....
just FYI for college bound kids.... major need for Orthopedic Surgeons in a few years....

Last month I was at 2300. I text more than I talked on my phone to my family and friends.
Mostly though it's from getting Twitter SMS updates from certain people or companies I follow.
I do think I receive more texts than I actually text.
I can't see myself get near 5000 + unless it's a busy month.

Between 200 and 260.
Not enough with the current $5 200SMS plan and way too many for the $15 1500SMS Text plan.
Wish AT&T provided something in between.

Actually you're spot on. I do run a business with my family with about 75 employees and thats why i get a lot of text messages, and i do keep over a 3.5 as well. The amount of texts you do has nothing to do with how you'll do in school. Everyone uses it differently and to each their own. For me it works and i need that ability. My friend who did 39,000 i cant speak for her but i think she's just a little out there
My son just hit 34,632 and 10 day left in billing cycle.

Between the wife and myself . . . Perhaps, a couple hundred texts per month, if that. The kids? . . . Well, that's a different story.
This is a pretty old thread, but I noticed my actual SMS texting has gone down quite a bit since iMessage. My wife who I text the most being on it as well as about half the other people I text means AT&T is losing out big time as I can stay with the 1000 plan and not need to go to unlimited. There's really only one person I text heavily and a couple occasional that don't have iPhones.
