I've had my Series 3 Aluminum with Sport Loop on FB Marketplace for about a week now. Started at $350 and then lowered to $330. I'm getting quite a lot of inquiries but most people stop responding. I've had a few offers for $300/$310, so I think that's where it will end up (Canadian dollars.) The market has been flooded since Series 4 came out.

I guess I did OK getting $150 for my 42mm S1 gold aluminum with a black Nike sport band (I kept the cocoa sport band that originally came with it to use with my new S4) and a 1m charging cable included. I only paid $229 for it new back in January 2017.

$225.00 through the Apple trade in.(series 3 LTE Sport AL)
No problem with the second party mail in company.

Apple dropped their offer in the last 2 weeks, now only offering $200 trade-in for my 42mm Alum S3 with cellular.

Haven't found a buyer for mine yet.

SS S3 44mm. :(

Have You tried selling locally? I have completely abandoned online selling any Apple related products, strictly just because I want to avoid any type of fraud that usually is associated. But I find that local selling is more successful, even if it means you take a slight cash hit, I would rather have it sold versus in a drawer.

I tried selling mine on CL. The prices were crazy low, well below what Apple gave me. The watch was pristine, box and all accessories, and two Zagg glass screen protectors still in the box. And selling online just has too many risks (IMO). The drawback of the SS Watches is that resale is not much higher than the aluminum versions.

I had this experience trying to use the Facebook Marketplace too. I only got a few offers and all were well below what I eventually got from Apple ($225) for my pristine S3 SG Aluminum LTE 38mm. That, plus a $26 refund from canceling the AppleCare+, means I have a good down payment for when the new iPads come out!

Not even ONE nibble on Craigslist. Not even a low ball offer. Nothing.

I don’t trust selling things like this online. Years ago I sold a toner cartridge on EBay. It was new in a sealed box. A few weeks later I received notice that the buyer wanted a refund because it wasn’t as described. He sent back a used cartridge and received a refund. It didn’t matter what I said.

Your succinct post is an example as exactly why I don’t sell Apple products online anymore. I personally have not been frauded, but It’s not worth my time or my money to sell to somebody that may file a claim later on. I couldn’t care less about making top dollar for my products that I sell used, which I would rather do sold locally and have cash in hand and walk away knowing that the sale is finalized and complete without having some sketch buyer try to fraud me later on. I don’t have time for that, nor will I taken advantage of.

I have also been defrauded as a seller on eBay. I don't sell anything that has moving parts or electronics inside on eBay any more. I sell locally face to face via CL for cash. The Apple give-back program was a very good offer overall. I didn't get any offers from CL during the week my ad was up at $25 over the Apple price, and being able to keep the Nike band and the charging puck was effectively additional cash value to me as well.

I've been defrauded a few times as well. It's a real pain in the butt, especially since we have to pay 10% to eBay already! I quit selling things online with them, it's just not worth it for me.
