I have Series 5 Ti. Was excellent buy for me. Still looks and works great. Worth the money to me and I know it will work great the next year or two if I do not find the Pro compelling.

There’s nothing pro about it so wouldn’t pay more than usual for an Apple Watch. 300-400. But still good with s4 til it stops working. There’s been nothing worthwhile since.

I upgrade my Apple Watch every two years because of battery degradation and new health features, and I rely on the trade in value of my current watch to lessen the impact of the cost of the new watch. That being said, I would not pay close to $1,000 for a watch I upgrade every two years. It would be terrible if they only put some health sensors in the most expensive watch, but even that would not get me to upgrade to the Pro model.

I'd be willing to pay the same amount as the Stainless Steel, what is that $749? I'm not a huge athlete but if they're boating way better battery life, then I'll go for it.

I know. I’m rocking a launch day S4, a few scratches, some dings. Battery isn’t great, but there is yet to be an upgrade that I deem worthy of my money.

Price isn’t an issue. It’s the fact that the thing is going to be a huge according to rumors. I already go for the smaller watch so if they make it in the smaller 40/ 41 mm size then depending on how it looks I would consider it.

Many people are going to say oh I wouldn’t pay for that and that’s because you’re not the target market. That’s like asking people how much were they would be willing to pay for a Mac Pro. I’m guessing this is going to be targeted at hikers and people who do a lot of outdoor activity. I can see where I would buy it just for that purpose but I’m not out climbing mountains on the weekend so it wouldn’t be worth it for me.

Not for me, seems like it will be just as disposable tech-wise as a regular Apple Watch. And I've never seen the purpose to buy a Watch with higher end material if it ends up becoming obsolete at the same time as the base aluminum versions.

I personally think the watches cost a bit too much for the value they offer me. So the max I personally would pay for a Pro watch is $400 but that would be below the regular one. I’m actually tempted to go back to a normal watch, my old Seiko.

At the end of the day, its just a watch. And in normal use, I find i use my watch for the time and notifications/TFA approvals and the activity/workout portions. I think around $300 to $350 is about the top end of what I care to pay for those small features that I could just as easily do without or just use my phone so yeah thats the max im paying. If they make a "pro" version of the watch it should substantially differentiate itself and truly be for a PRO user. Maybe be extremely rugged for outdoors, or hold up to hard labor/job site use without getting destroyed. I don't need a device like that but I could at least see that being more useful for a segment of the market than the standard watch with a bulky style case on it.

Would LOVE to get a 47-48mm watch, but not at that price - trade in values for the AW are awful and you may as well give it away to family/friend or just keep it. So...come next year, maybe the 47-48mm will be in a Sport or even SS models(?), I'd rather have that at a lower price.

Off topic...I would love, need to see a "One More Thing" surprise like we did w/ AW in Sept. 2014.
We have the new phones, new watches...new Air Pods I think. At the end..with all these rumors for years about AR / Apple Glass. Give us that, I personally would love to see it even if it may be delayed.

Without any confirmed information about what they've improved, and knowing that issues from S0 watches have continued through the S6 I have even after sensor changes, I'd pay about $300 with the fact I already have a watch that works, just not great for fitness. Also knowing that resale values on Apple watches are usually pretty terrible (got my S6 used but in perfect condition for $200 off when it was the current model) I don't think I'd rush to get one from the apple store new.

I'll need outside reviews from runners and fitness people to see if things like improved heart rate detection and GPS tracking are better. As it is, I still have issues my S0 had with heart rate detection when moving quickly, and the GPS gets stuck when walking through certain areas showing zero movement when turning around in a culdesac for example. Then I'll need to compare this to other watches on the market to see if a replacement makes sense.

I usually get stainless steel with cellular.I already know it's going to be expensive. But larger screen and more durable, and possibly better battery life make it appealing.

Ah is Macrumours doing some quick research for Apple by any chance? 😂😂
Exactly my thought and I had to check comments to see if anyone beat me to it 🤣 well done.

At least we know now how Apple does their market research, though I gotta be honest they’re doing a piss-poor job of listening to us over there. No absence of camera bulge, no smaller Pro phone, no USB-C… man Apple is terrible at their job. 🤣

The problem I am facing with my Apple Watch lately is that I am just too used to it now? Like I almost forget it is hanging on my wrist and thus I rarely interact with it anymore besides checking the time. I have also gotten numb to the haptic Feedback like somehow I don’t feel it anymore when I receive a notification.

watchOS also hasn’t really changed in 3 years besides additional watch faces

I figure it's just a rebranding of the 'Edition' model with a larger size, the same premium material, and probably a slight price hike.
