I would be happy with paying about 20-30 percent more than the standard watch. Same as with the iPhone. That would mean 550-600 Euros. (I know it will probably be more than that, hence I will not buy it.)

Honestly, I think the regular watches are priced too high, so a pro model would be off the table for me.

Ah is Macrumours doing some quick research for Apple by any chance? 😂😂
Exactly my thoughts too! Market research funded by Apple? Perhaps MR is an apple web site, designed to spread exactly the info Apple want put out there, including missinformation to keep competitors of the track?

Forget pro, I'm not sure I'm willing to pay anything for an Apple Watch. I've now had 2 of them (S2, and S4) and they're fine. It's pretty rare that I use an actual app, something like 90% of the time I use it to check the date and time. The rest is for checking, and dismissing, notifications. The only apps I use regularly are the timer (for cooking and covid tests) and messages. I think I might go back to mechanical watches.

In general saying 20/30% of the basic watch doesn’t make any sense. The basic watch is around 350, 70 to 105 dollars doesn’t make much sense. It would be 20/30% the price of the stainless steel version which is around 750, so 150 to 210 which sounds about right.

Apple Watch is just a chubby pre school kid still.
When it look mature, I’ll consider - I’m still skeptical.
So I am not ready to pay anything yet.
Convince me Apple, and show me a mature stylish watch first.

The price drop on a 2-3 year old Apple Watch is so drastic and they aren’t even worth selling on the used market at that point. They end up being hand me downs. $350-400 is the tech watch sweet spot. Basic Casio G-Shocks cost less and are very rugged.

I'm not paying any extra. Unless there is some compelling reason to move from my Nike AW7 with applecare, I am happy with what I have. I held the series 6 until just recently, and the upgrade to the 7 was just right. The fast charge is extremely nice for the way I use daily and sleeptrack with my watch.

I would be willing to pay $1,000 for this watch. I've wanted a 47mm AW for years now. I should easily be able to get 4 years out of it.

I’m my opinion, $399 is already too much for what basically amounts to a disposable piece of tech. Apple watches are not Rolex, Movado, or Tag Heuer - no matter that materials you build it with after a few years an Apple Watch will be slow, old, outdated tech that probably doesn’t even support the newest software. No one will be handing these down to their children/grandchildren. Apple Watches are great for what they are… disposable biometric sensors that can receive texts messages and play music. My take: I’d pay $399 for a “Pro” version, and the non-Pro versions should be reduced In price.

Not much more. The reality with Apple Watch is that most people use it (anecdotally) for time, information glances, audio controls, messages, and the one or two complications they have set. Why pay a further premium if the watch doesn’t allow more or different use case

Honestly, Apple needs to stop with the ridiculous pricing model of the Apple Watch. We should be able to just buy the watch itself instead of having to pay the ridiculous markup for those bands when we already have plenty.

"How Much Would You Be Willing to Pay for an Apple Watch 'Pro'?".

Whatever, as far as is has NO dependency of any smartphone.

or at most

IF I upgrade from my SS series 6 then it will be to an aluminium model. I have an Omega Speedmaster and Omega Seamaster as my real watches. From the 'Pro' rumours this thing is more rugged with a larger screen and I just can't imagine that looking nice.

So it's an aluminium Series 8 with a velcro sports loop at most for me.

Seeing as how in about 4 years there really hasn't been a single significant update, I would probably pay what the one 3-4 years ago is worth now
