I'd never use and don't care about it.

I email pictures to the @provider address for the people without smartphones, regular email for the rest.

i just want MMS because i hate having to get a code and password to be able to check the MMS i receive. I prefer to email out the pictures i want to share with people...

That's a really good point. Occasionally I do receive an MMS, so having the ability for it to display in line with SMS is nice. Emailing pictures is preferred for the higher qualities.

Lack of MMS is the only thing i hated about the iPhone before 3.0 honestly. I didn't really care about copy and paste and bluetooth and stuff like that. I just want my basic MMS. :)

I used to MMS with friends all the time. We'd find odd crap and just MMS it back and forth. I neeeeeeed it.

I must confess that I didn't think I would ever really use MMS. However, as it turns out I use it probably once a day at least since 3.0 came out. I'm sure some of it has to do with the fact that there is no push Gmail, so emailing pictures around isn't necessarily conducive via email. Likewise, MMS is just so easy to use that there really is no reason not to send something via MMS.

I have a block on my account to stop SMS...and that will be staying whenever AT&T gets around to turning on MMS. Don't need them. Right now I don't take a lot of pictures with my iPhone. I expect that to increase once I get a 3GS as it will replace my Nikon Coolpix 950 for most shots I think. But I still don't see my need for MMS increasing...most people I know don't use their phone for anything more than as a phone and I'm not in the habit of sharing picture reguarly.

I use it every day. My mother has just about got to grips with her mobile and emailing is waaaaaaay above her. She likes to see pics of my daughter and she loves getting little picture updates. Not everyone is as gadget savvy as we are. Besides, I never got this 'just email it' nonsense. MMS is far quicker than checking an email, even on the iPhone. Open message vs open email, wait for image to download...

Its kind of interesting that the number of people currently that would never use it + the number of people who only want it because its a new feature equal the number of people who would use it frequently.

look it's something a lot of people want and have wanted for a long time. I use mms a lot to keep in touch with my brother. Soon it will be even easier for me to get and send pics to him.

I'm all for it.

i rarely used mms on my old phone, but since it came to iphone i have used it so much, its so useful, not just for photos(which i have sent loads of), but voice memo's, and contact information as well

this is probably my 2nd most used new feature of 3.0, first would be spotlight.

incompatibility between phone manufacturers and even between mobile carriers (i.e. the implementation and use by AT&T may not be equivalent to the implementation and use by Verizon, Alltel, etc.). Because of this, there may be "interoperability" issues between mobile carriers and between mobile phone models

I never had that problem before, and I used MMS between basically every carrier in the US and Canada, and a couple in the UK. The only incompatibility issues were with smilies, and the iPhone doesn't have those anyway.
