Truly shocked (and slightly embarrassed) that the highest age category is my generation (16-18)...maybe these are the people that check the iPhone forum regularly...well to say little, Apple has a bunch of addicts for the future...

Apple's making all their money in the consumer market off college kids.

 14 :D and don't really care wat the data cost is because my parents pay for it and becuase it's worth the cost to have an iPhone. I do wish that they kept the rate plan and iPhone price the same cuz of all the confusion it will cause for all of the people who are upgrading their AT&T plans.....

19 here. Wish the prices were lower for the new 3G plans but I'm still not sure what I will do about upgrading to the new phone.

stone age with two careers behind me:

1) 14 in retail
2) 20 in landscaping

a year off exploring other possibilities

and looking to do final 20 pushing papers like wills, trusts, mediation, etc after 4 years of training how to do it in law school

retirement, at least in my middle age, sounds like a literal death sentence...i would most likely get depressed doing hobbies coupled with tv and doing nothing useful for society

if i find that i am in my 70s with nothing to do, i will volunteer and help people until i drop dead...never do i want to end up like most people in my retirement community pooing and pissing in their pants completely incoherent and screaming

i have spent my whole life seeing people in the 70s and 80s act no more civilized than monkeys in the zoo spitting and throwing their defecation at the nurses while throwing food and falling into screaming and crying fits asking for their mother...all very, very sad and like the "who" song, i hope to die before i get old

Wow! I'm amazed at the evenness of the age distribution!

I would've thought there would've been a clear bump around some age range simply due to the many selection processes that had to happen for a person to wind up voting in this particular poll. To vote here people must at least 1) have an iphone 2) be interested in visiting online forums 3) be interested in voting in random online polls 4) be a member at this particular forum 5) have enough free time to have found this thread, etc.

Hey, you're right around the corner from me in Plano! Are you going to be at the Willowbend Mall on the 11th or a local ATT store?

You should have added another bracket to the poll: 50+ STONED AGE.

I am a boomer hitting 60 next year & I would be standing in line on July 11th except that Sprint is holding me hostage until October 21st. I will be at my local ATT store on October 22nd.

Right on Sonoran, turning 53 in August. I aim to purchase the new iPhone (already have an unlocked iPhone) However, our provider here Rogers will probably want two arms and a leg for data, so I may stick with the version I have.

I'm 16 and my parents pay for my Iphone plan! :p (though they do constantly complain to me how much it costs and how they're going to remove the data any day...

YEAH!!!!!!!:cool::cool::cool:

Lol my parents don't even know what data is. My mom never complained about the bill though, I guess the $85 a month doesn't phase her.

I'm paying for the new iPhone though, it's the least I can do.

Well, I'm 38 and my mother still can't quite grab the concept of a "transportable telephone" !!
(Now Mum, a computer is like a typewriter with a TV attached - see, SEE??)

19 and i think at&t is ridiculous for their txt messaging plan (i didnt care much for 200). it's 5 bucks for 200 (too little), and the next up is goddamn 1500 for 15 dollars(too damn much, you're better off unlimited). fkn stupid bastards get the median of say, $4/500 or $10/1000. fckn greedy corporate bastards.

as for 3g being more, well duh it should be more expensive than edge. expensive for me (40 dollars for internet, on top of the utilities i have to pay which includes $55 cable= 95 a fckn month for internet). and ain the 3g on the iphone crippled in comparison to like the razr2 and tilt, etc?

stone age

some of us will get our first iPhone and then make the business decision to switch all or few corp phone users to the iPhone - you may not see them openly but a lot of us are reading to the threads

This made me laugh, the 38 year old is the newbie...kinda ironic

3G sure is expensive huh?

Now before this get's moved, please realize the study of this. This is related to the iPhone in all regards.

I'm seeing a ton of posts here with concerns about how "expensive" the data plan is ($30), or people seeking reassurance on how "easy" it is to type since they are coming from another phone, or how anything over $299 is "too much", etc, etc.

I would just like to get a rough idea of the age range of people here discussing the iPhone. It seems a lot less business users or the older crowd are posting and more of the younger, under 18 crowd.

Just curious folks.

I would love to have 3G for free on iphone. but until its free I will pay for the increase.
