Macbook late 2009 (model 6,1)
Battery Capacity 87%
Age: 16 months
Cycles 298
wow that was a good necro here

when I answered that thread my macbook was just 16 months old, my battery now is at 67% and 1065 cycles.
I still had my macbook and still serve as my laptop (I have a windows custom for desktop), the battery is not holding as it used to but I can manage 2-3 hours of usage, that is what some other laptops can manage while brand new, so I guess I'm fine with it.
What I hate is that everything is so much heavier now, even the OSX evolved without caring much for the older machines that doesn't have SSDs and it take so much longer to open, not to mention how heavy are many websites.
Other than that adobe UI still sux for small screens and they don't even work in fullscreen mode...
Now that I look back in time and the amount of money I have spent for this macbook I guess it worthed the money, it was a big deal for me to hand over 1000 euro for a 13" laptop back in 2009.
I think about maxing out the ram at 8GB and replacing the hdd with and ssd, this will give some more lifetime for sure.
