Does this still work on the iPhone? Trying this on an iPhone 4S non jailbroken iOS 5.1.1 over 3G and I keep getting the "You must be connected to your home network to use this feature." error. iPhone does connect to the VPN successfully.

Edit:
Works fine on my MBP. Had my computer tethered to my Droid 4's 4G, VPN set up, and I was able to stream.

The iPhone or iPad has to be jailbroken and install 2 patches for this to work.

same here, works fine with 3.0 update. Iphone and ipad

Side note...

I don't like the update. They updated the iApp to look more like the Laptop version. Initial launch time, the channel guide and changing channels is much slower. I prefer the original interface.

Oh well.

Cablevision updated the laptop LiveTV application. It looks SOOOOO much better. It now looks the same quality as the iPad app. I'm pleased. :)

Mr Coleman, oh great genius... I read through the whole thread and I'm still lost. I set up a home VPN with my netgear wndr3400 router to windows 7 dell computer. I have also set everything up on my iPhone, VPN connects but only while I'm on wifi. If I attempt to connect to VPN on 3G it takes awhile till I get the error message; pptp VPN server did not respond.
When connected to VPN I could see on my computer that it connected but there is no activity. It says ipv4-not connected, ipv6-not connected, media state-connected, duration 00:00:00 with no info sent or received. I'm not sure what else you need to know to help me out...I don't want to write any more useless info that might be irrelevant (as you can tell I would never make it on the geek squad) thanks in advance!!! Do you have a PayPal? Happy to donate...

Do you have port forwarding enabled on your router to forward the ports used for VPN? The ports need to be forwarded to the IP address of the Windows 7 box running the VPN server.

Shoot me a PM. I'll try and help you out.

Thanks for answering so quick. I just found out that I'm too new here to send PM's just yet. I do have ports 1723 and 47 open. I also have xcon and the patch installed.

insany00 (zero, zero)
I'm on, I have the app on my phone.

Yeah, I have you added correctly but it is showing you offline. Do you have privacy settings on?

I just tried to send you a message and it wouldn't send. That you're offline.

At home

Hi Coleman, tried to send you a pm but it said that you had too many that you couldnt receive more till you erase some or something like that. Left you amessage on your profile page.
