I wanted to use iMazing to transfer some apps to my new MacBook Air M1, but I'm really put off by iMazing requiring your AppleID login information.

I was following the Configurator 2 method up to the part where you have to retrieve the .ipa file from "~/Library/Group\ Containers/K36BKF7T3D.group.com.apple.configurator/Library/Caches/Assets/TemporaryItems/MobileApps/"

I couldn't find this path on my MacBook Air. is there a setting or something else preventing me from seeing this in Finder?
Normally the "Library" directory is hidden. What I would suggest is doing Cmd+Shift+G in Finder and then just pasting the path (but you HAVE to get rid of the backslash after "Group"). That will make Finder place you in the closest directory that exists (TemporaryItems might not exist before you start downloading some apps) and it should be easy enough from there.

Anyone tried Microsoft outlook and Microsoft Authenticator? I know there are native apps but company policy restricts these to iOS only.
Tried it. I was able to register Microsoft Authenticator and can approve sign-in requests. But when I try to register my company email in Outlook, it switches over to Authenticator to approve it, but then in Authenticator I get an error message "An error has occurred".

Would also be very keen to get it to work.

I don't believe this has been discussed: Is there any way to install a beta version I've installed on my iPhone via TestFlight?

I tried this a few days ago, and TestFlight can't be installed from the .ipa. Without TestFlight, the beta app can't be downloaded either (see second message).

Overcast runs amazingly well, almost as if it were a native Mac app. Makes me very happy
@palemonkey: Using it more, and wondering if you've experienced (or, better yet, solved this): The Airplay choice within the Overcast app on my MacBook doesn't work; I can select my WiFi speaker, but it doesn't have any effect. (Works, of course, if I change to Airplay via the MacBook's Sound control. And Airplay ini Overcast on my iPhone works great.)

Thanks!

I'm not happy running iPhone apps on an iPad. I certainly wouldn't want to even entertain the idea to install them onto a notebook, or computer. I'm still miffed that some of the apps I use on my iPad haven't been updated with an iPad version to make the screen look usable. If anything, we need far more control over how the apps appear on the screen. FAR more...

I can't get Overdrive or Libby to be found on the App Store? I'm surprised. This was something I was really looking forward to (reading library books on my M1).

I tried the chess.com app but I'm finding that it ignores my clicks quite often and I have to restart the app for clicks to register again.

Oh well, hopefully it gets better.

Time to try my other apps - Carrot Weather ... and that doesn't exist either. Interesting. Can't say I'm terribly impressed lol.

I can't run on 11.3.1 any solution?

Why would anyone want a non optimized app and on top of that via third party software? Please... don’t ruin your macOS experience.
I have and ipad air that was cleared (from the kids usage) and reloaded and will not work with the latest version of spotify......I just want to play my tunes. The current-1 version is no longer available(from the app store). I have an older Ipad 3rd gen with an even older version of Spotify that just keeps on playing. This is a forced obsolescence on good working equipment. From a developer standpoint, this also forces more money into Apple's pockets.

Is there a way to do this on the most recent big sur build? Or do we have to have devs update the app manifest to include macs?

Is this beloved feature dead in the water now? No hacks or anything that can make this work?

I finally decided to dabble with this and so far am 0/2. I get a message "Unable To Install '<app>'" This application cannot be installed because the developer did not intend for it to run on this platform.

I used imazing and followed the instructions. Is this method blocked again?

If it is, some people owe me an apology. I said that the ability could go away at any point, and was roundly slammed for it. And now, if it has 'gone away', well... It's not a feature until it lasts a few months and an update or two.

I guess I'm the last one to find out about this :|
I ditched my Intel Mini today and upgraded to an M1 mini, remembering that during the original presentation, Apple touted the ability to run iOS apps natively...too bad they didn't mention that many of the most useful apps and games would be locked out. Oh well.
Even the apps that are NOT locked out, like HBO Max, suck pretty hard on a 4K monitor.
There's no way to make the video actually run full screen - when you full screen the app, it full screens _everything_ and it's stuck in the iPad aspect ratio, meaning there's letterboxed black bars on the sides.
Better just to use the browser version I guess.

It’s the App Devs that are choosing to lock their apps out, not Apple.
