My bank doesn't support it, useless update for me. Google wallet worked fine with my Visa debit card on my Nexus.

Of course Google wallet works fine with any card - it doesn't use bank-verified tokens, it uses your ACTUAL credit card numbers. This makes Apple Pay much more secure than Google Wallet.

I am in the US, with a US card, iPhone 6 and iOS8.1, yet I cannot see any of the new Apple Pay options - not in Passbook, not in the settings. Another cockup in the long series of 8.x related update-cockups?

None of my 2 debit or 3 credit cards worked.
Chase, Capital One, US Bank and 2 locals.

In PassBook, you clicked the + at the top right corner?

Costco Amex works with transaction history. Citi Premier pass works but no transaction history.

My credit union debit card didn't work but if never use it anyway.

Kinda off topic but I didn't know Wells Fargo had an American Express card.

I have Wells Fargo and I have American Express but I don't have Wells Fargo American Express.

weird.

Yeah, that caught my eye as well.
Weird indeed.

So, it's super slow and cumbersome... I don't really think we Europeans are missing out on anything. Using payWave/PayPass with any credit card seems to be at least as good for now.

Yes of course. I see the option to scan codes, but nothing Pay-related. In other words, I seem to have installed a Apple Pay-less version of 8.1. Makes me wonder whether a bug makes it think that this is an iPhone 5 ...whereas it's obviously a 6...
