My Capitol One worked just fine.

Mine is the GM Card and it will not work and my chase is a mastercard and oly the visa works????

I thought they announced 500 banks had signed up yet the list only shows only 8 or 9.

Tried 3 of my (major bank) cards and all say they are not currently eligible. Apple FAIL.

Hmm...

Couple of unexpected's...

First, upon trying to connect my current BofA iTunes debit card to :apple:Pay, I was redirected to call BofA for verification purposes. I appreciate the extra security (and the friendly voice on the line), but it certainly was not as easy as just taking a picture of your card.

Next, I walked over to Walgreens, picked up some Combo's, and tried to pay with my iPhone 6. The iPhone screen acted as expected, but after tapping the TouchID, the POS screen directed me to enter my debit card PIN. I'm not sure if the issue was iOS, Walgreens, B of A, Visa, user error, or something else, but essentially the iPhone saved me a card swipe. Anyone have a similar experience using a debit card with :apple:Pay? Or just an bleeding edge hiccup?

Peace be with you.

This thing literally just started. If your banks are supposedly supported then give them a little time.

I would assume so yes. We'll be getting lots of reports of real world usage soon so we'll soon find out if there are any common issues.

I just added all my cards.

I had to verify each one with my card issuer so at least there is some security in adding the card to my phone.

Can't wait to try it; unfortunately I'm not in the US right now, so it all needs to wait.

Not sure how to add my loyalty cards though.

don't worry, it's ready to be hack. :D

...and also with you

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like you can't use Apple Pay if you have Touch ID to unlock the phone turned off & passcode turned off as well. I hate using it to unlock my phone but I'd love to use Apple Pay and/or for iTunes. Please help!

I'm in the UK with a U.S. bank account but there is no + option when opening passbook for me.

I'm wondering if I use an US iTunes account that will enable it .

Yes of course. I see the option to scan codes, but nothing Pay-related. In other words, I seem to have installed a Apple Pay-less version of 8.1. Makes me wonder whether a bug makes it think that this is an iPhone 5 ...whereas it's obviously a 6...

For both of these.. Strange.. Canadian with a Canadian iTunes account and I see the + and an option to add Apple Pay after clicking the +, though none of my Canadian cards work (as expected), though my Amex produces a different error rather than saying the card isn't supported.

Bollyboy I can understand it not working at all, but va1984 should have the option. Would closing PassBook and/or restarting the phone make a difference?

:apple:Pay is required to use TouchID. So if you don't have it setup, I don't think you can use the feature.

i would imagine this to be true, mainy because iPads do not support NFC either.

Check my post again carefully. I was referencing online payments, not in-person NFC payments. My post has nothing to do with NFC. There is another part of Apple Pay that allows online payments using Touch ID through apps that support it.

I want them too..

I was able to register four of my cards all the cards I commonly use didn't bother to do corporate citi or american express cards as i rarely use those or my fidelity debit card as i don't use that to spend money from. 3 capital one cards registered and 1 chase card registered. I wish they allowed you to customize the logs use in passbook so that you can tell the difference between the cards maybe actually show the specific card brand on the passbook app would be nice right now i have to match the last four and remember those. I'll probably try it later today. I'll try it at AT&T they take NFC payments for soft card i'll see about Apple Pay I don't see why one of the biggest Apple partners wouldn't take Apple Pay.

I logged in with my US iTunes account and still nothing :(

I think I'll leave it for now rather than pull my hair out anymore.

Chase Debit vs Chase Amazon

So my chase debit card worked after a couple of tries and my Amazon credit card (also through chase) failed and gave me the "this card is still unspported by your bank" error. Has anyone else with the Amazon card had any success?

Tried both. Multiple times. I checked the region in the iTunes account page: US. I even tried toggling the date & time display format (I normally prefer UK format) but - obviously - this didn't change anything...

yes I understand, again I'm assuming it may work because they are letting iPad without nfc use the system for online payments my theory is I do not see a difference in capabilities for online apple pay payments for either devices 5s / iPads

Someone else mentioned something a few posts up.. First (and you likely do, but I'll ask anyway), you are doing this on an iPhone 6(+), right? Secondly, do you have TouchID enabled?

UPDATE: I just checked my Bof A account and this transaction actually ended up yielding TWO debits. Glad it was just a bag of Combo's!

Yes of course.
iPhone 6, iOS 8.1, US iTunes account, US credit cards, restarted, force-quit Passbook, cursed the heavens, and Apple Pay still nowhere to be seen.

No luck with my Amazon credit card either. I'm super bummed out about it.

lol @ trusting minimum-wage retail employee with secure data, or even more lol @ trusting less-than-minimum wage waitress with your secure data.

Whatever man. When I worked as a lead captain at a steak house, I made between $300-$500 a night. I handled thousands of cards. Never once thought of doing anything malicious.

I think the Forbes article that I referenced is probably wrong in their details. The Apple Pay website (www.apple.com/apple-pay) shows compatible devices for paying online or in stores, and it doesn't have iPhone 5s listed. Bummer.
