This actually made it as a thread! Really! Because some idiot with his skinny hip hugging jeans puts a $1000 phone in his back pocket and sits down this becomes apples problem?

Or better yet the drunk guy at a wedding who made the front page!

So it's not Apple's problem for the phone bending under every day usage?

Okay, thanks for clearing that up.

I think this is a good potential issue people should be aware of. Appreciate it.

I don't know if this is an actual problem yet.

Have we seen more then a couple incidents?

If the problem is similar to the iPhone 5 then I'd say it's not a major problem. I have never had had a problem with the iPhone 5 or 5s.

Hard to say, if it was truly a widespread issue I think we'd have seen this brought up outside of a forum.

As funny as the hipster and skinny jeans bashing is, the report on the front page was a guy carrying his phone in the front pocket of a suit, not sitting on it or wearing tight pants.

Just use it as you have been using it.

You shouldn't have even made this thread.

Its a non issue.

Of course in your mind you know you're just trolling.

This just in:

SCIENTISTS DISCOVER THAT METAL CAN BEND UNDER FORCE AND GLASS CAN BREAK WHEN DROPPED.

Film at 11!

Suit pants for 18 hours. He drove with it in his pants pocket, dancing at a wedding, etc. Who knows how it got bent. Did someone sit on his lap? Not enough details.

There is no iPhone 6+

Simple, don't expect to put it in your pant pocket. Enjoy the large screen, but just know that expectations on pocketability need tempering.

People I know who have Samsung Notes will either carry it in their jacket or a handbag/pack of some sort. I've never seen anyone pulling a Note out of their pant pocket. This is no different than trying to park in a compact space. If you have a large SUV, you're probably better off avoiding those spots.

Seriously though I really don't get how people are bending their 6+. One possibility I can think of is back pocket and sitting on it. I dunno, I don't get it.

Now that skinny jeans and low rise pants have migrated over to men's fashion, this means tighter fit and shorter pockets, thus less space for ginormous phones. Less space means less free play and more pressure points -- more than enough pressure to bend metal.

So, I guess the solution is for cargo pants to come back in style.
