Excellent. In and out with no problems. I feel like I need a cigarette now that I have the phone and I don't even smoke.

Mine was awesome, i woke up, had a cup of coffee and took a short drive to my UPS center and picked up my 6 Plus. I couldnt be happier.

Here's my morning line

Mine was incredible! I was out of the store by 8:20am, first group in the store (for pre-order). I got a free gel case (really nice one) and free headphones. Monster was giving out headphones to the first 5 pre-order and 5 walk in customers.

I was shocked to learn the headphones retail for $300!!!

Needless to say, I think it might have been the best time I ever had buying an iPhone LOL!

Woke up. Went to the gym. Went to work. Phone was delivered home during the day.

Simple.

My ups guy was trying break land speed records when he delivered mine. I barely caught him before he got back to the truck. But other than that it's been great. I had to work so I can't wait to get home and mess around.

The curved glass is a really neat physical trait. Looks awesome.

Mine was great. Woke up, called the Apple Store around noon. Walked in just after 1pm, walked out within 5-10min with an iPhone. No line at all :):apple:

Drove to Best Buy, fully intending on laughing at the line and going back to bed at 7:20am. I was surprised to see an empty sidewalk because I knew they were opening at 8am and SHOULD have iPhones.

I parked and noticed a couple other cars in the parking lot were idling to keep the heat on, it was only 43 degrees out.. Well, at 7:30 I walked up to the door followed by a number of other people. The security guy informed us that there were NO iPhone 6 Plus available, so four or five people took off in search. A few minutes before 8, an employee gave me a ticket, No. 1.

At 8, we shuffled over to the Mobile registers, got Verizon all squared up, and walked out the door 20 minutes later with a silver iPhone 6, 64GB.

Just to mention: coming from a 4S, this thing is freakin huge. I don't have the best eyesight so I would switch to landscape where possible to read. This display is nice to read from portrait or landscape, but the size is so weird to carry.

I stood in line 4hrs just to hear them say they didn't have any more 6 plus I-Phones
I don't understand why they didn't limit them to 1 per Customer like they did with the X-Box and Playstation launches. I saw a lot of People just buying them to sell over seas in the lines....

----------

I thought since I went to the Apple Store things would have been better, but I guess I should've just went to the AT&T Store...

I agree. Curved glass adds an element of class to the phone that I want expecting.

My UPS driver was saying how there were reports of people following UPS trucks and then stealing the iPhones that were left on doorsteps since they didn't require signatures. Do not pre-sign for your phones, folks!

Came 40 mins before the store was closing to pick up my pre order. Was told to come back tomorrow because pre order pickup has stopped 1 hour before they close. Dumbest thing I ever heard. You have my money, give me my product.

Walked into the store I preordered 2 of them :). Felt like a VIP. Thought it would take 15-20 minutes to get the phone and activate it. Took over an hour because the AT&T servers were down. Ended up getting 2 64gbs 6s on Next plan. WE got 100 bucks for doing next for each phone as a bill credit and then 50 bucks for each phone to iTunes :)

Fine I paid 1500 bucks on phones today but can you do :)

Was pretty happy. Radioshack is def the place to go to get these things no one was in the store. Kind of sad that next time I buy a iPhone in 2 years they will be out of business :p

I had to work during the launch and best buy was a freakin mad house. No telling how many iPhones I activated. 11hr shift, couldn't go on a lunch b/c it was so busy. Gotta do it all over again tomorrow

1. Got out of work early (4:09pm) due to a major gas leak in the area.
2. Went to the Apple store (4:50pm) to just feel out both models with no intention to buy.
3. Left Apple store (6:30pm) because I formed a decent opinion on both models. Came there thinking that iPhone 6 plus was the phone to get but after playing around with the regular 6 I had different thoughts. They still had plenty of stock of 6 and 6 plus in all capacities with a line about 40 deep when I left. Store told me that it's been like that all day and they would not give me numbers on how many they got in.
4. Decided to check out the Verizon corporate store up the street once I left Apple. They still had iPhone 6 64GB and 128GB in Gold and Space Grey. No 6 plus.
5. At 7:40pm bought a 128GB iPhone 6 on Verizon edge. Paid $0 out the door.
6. At 12:43am Saturday morning I'm about to open the box for the first time.

Point 1: Based on my experience today I will never pre-order unless the body is the same. You really need to handle these devices before making a decision. My mind changed once I spent a good hour with both devices.

Point 2: I will never wait in line. The Apple store I went to had plenty of stock and was still selling units at 6pm. In my area there are at least 3 Apple stores in a 20 mile radius. Verizon had ok stock if getting the smaller 6.

My pre-order in store pickup was terrible. I waited in line for an hour. When it was my turn, I explained to the Apple store associate that my order would need to be adjusted. Phone needed to be on the correct line. Basically, a return and re-buy to be made on the correct line. He said it was not a problem when he talked to the in house AT&T rep.

The associate asked if I wanted to take a look at the cases and he would meet me there while he grabbed my phone. He was back with the phone and asked if I wanted Applecare. I said yes along with a case I had selected. Little did I know, he rang it all up without making the adjustments. I felt like I never got his full attention. He kept looking outside at the line throughout the whole time. After he finally corrected it, he said a new sim would be needed for the other line since he activated it. He came back with a sim and asked me to meet with the AT&T rep before I left.

The AT&T rep said the associate gave me the wrong sim for the other line. He went to the associate and said it would be 10 minutes since he was with another customer. After 20 minutes no sim and my toddler was getting restless. The AT&T rep said I can go a few stores down to their corporate store and get one since the associate was too busy.

I went to the AT&T corporate store and had to wait another 30 minutes for a sim. It took almost 2 hours to get home fighting rush hour traffic. Finally got home to setup my phone and look at my emails. I looked at the email receipt at the Apple store and it looked like I got charged twice for Applecare. Called the store and said I would need to come in to have it fixed. I said no since it is about a 3 hour round-trip with tolls. I asked for the manager and was asked for my number for a call back. I doubt they will call back. I will wait till the transactions are finalized on my CC for a follow up.

Never again..

Picked mine up at the AT&T store this evening. I heard this morning they had hundreds of people lined up to get one. However I think I can say that I went at the sweet spot for time, after the morning people left and before the people coming back from work (after I got mine it crowded up again). I got one of the very last ones in stock. :)

After an awful experience with Apple delaying my 09/19 delivery of my iPhone 6+ 128GB (pushed back a week), I said screw it and decided to brave the crowds. My local Apple store was not allowed to form a line until 6am due to the shopping center not allowing so..

I didn't believe them and woke up at 3:30am to head over. People formed a semi-large line at starbucks, I guess to expect to walk over in an orderly fashion to the Apple store line. Screw that! There's no official line. Once people start walking, people just briskly walk in all directions towards the line until we are all halted by security. They deliberate for a few minutes on how to let us get there, and ultimately they just took groups of people that were standing towards the front to the Apple line. Of course I had already worked my way to the front so I was in the second small group that was escorted. I was about 40th in line, waited until about 10am to get in the store and walked out with a 128GB iPhone 6 Plus in GOLD. I could have cried when she brought it out lol.

Now I just need to return the other device that got delayed (they shipped it today supposedly ).

Success.

second in line at the AT&T store in brooklyn was told they only got 3 iPhone 6 Plus in but only me and the first girl in line got one everyone after was told they were sold out . Naturally no space gray option so that missing 3rd iPhone Plus was probably held aside for someone

Trying to buy on this morning was my worst Apple experience ever. Yes I wanted to try before buying.

I got to the Apple Store in Seattle (University Village) at 5:00 am - figuring the reservation system they help to let me know pretty quickly if I could get a 6P or not. I was happy to pay for full price for an out of contract phone (TMobile)

- They never used the reservation system
- We were told the store had all skus in stock, and based on our spot in line, we'd get what we want
- Our line just stopped moving
- Come 1:00 - we heard - second hand - all the 6P inventory was gone - which is difficult to understand because our line did not move.
- After the fact, I found Apple repurposed the pre-order line for some other reason - which sounds like we should have been able to use.

Many people in my line wound of leaving. It was a total waste of time. I feel fortunate to have brought a camping chair and laptop - as I was at least able to get some work done.

I would not wish the experience we had on anyone. Never again.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

Bwahahahaha!!!!

My experience was great. Pre ordered. Went to the UPS Center early. They opened 15 min early for us. Got in and out in less than 10 minutes. They did try to give me some grief because one phone was addressed to my SO at my address. I told him two other reps told me that as long as the address matched my license it was fine. So UPS counter guy shrugged his shoulders and was like "ok." LOL

Went in at about 5:30....pm. Just looked for now. Friend got a 128gb grey one on the spot. They still had plenty of 6's. Apparently got 11 6+'s, obviously all sold out at that point.

Still undecided on what phone I'm gonna get.

I'd say I'm having some pretty bad luck.

I pulled an all nighter last Friday to order what I could. Got an iPhone 6 that was scheduled for delivery TODAY of course. I got an iPhone 6+ that was scheduled for Oct 1 - 6

Fine...

Well, then I see everyone getting notified that their Oct 1-6 iPhone 6+ were shipping or preparing for shipment this week. Meanwhile, my credit card hasn't even been charged and my phone order is just processing still. Sigh

So okay, I figured I'd at least get the iPhone 6 today from UPS. I wanted to test my luck anyway so I went around to a few Apple stores at 6am and the lines were 350+ deep so I didn't even bother. I went to a T-Mobile store and was 5th in line. The store rep arrived and said there were NO iPhone 6 PLUS models. So, I left angry... wasting my time waiting there.

So I spend all morning and day at home waiting for the knock on my door from UPS. I had somewhere to be at 8pm but surely, it would arrive before then right??? Well, I had to leave of course and 30 minutes later around 8:30pm, I get the notification alert that they left on my door. Saying they're going to try again on MONDAY.

Long story short, I am still without a phone today :( and gonna be without a phone until at least Monday. I have no idea when my iPhone 6 Plus is actually gonna get here... probably October 6, sigh
