I have preordered and when i got to the Pentagon City Mall @ 7:12 there were already some people on the preorder line. there were 2 lines, one for the preorder and one for walk ins. the preorder line wasn't as bad, possibly like 20 people in front of me. but when i went and trolled around to see how bad the walk in line was.. man it was BAD, BAD BAD BAD, as in pwnage bad. basically people were wrapped around the whole floor of the mall and the goes as far as the eye can see. everywhere i went, there's literally a crowd of people waiting.

Anyways, there was this guy at the preorder line behind me did a pretty cool thing. so i stepped out of the line to get my bag (just for props so i don't go wandering around with my iphone bag, LULZ). when i came back to the line there were 2 people behind him. when he turned around, he saw me and he was like, "hey you were in front of me, did u just use the bathroom, do you wanna get your spot back in front of me?". I said "sure, thanks". very cool guy, however he had to leave because he was at the wrong line! he was like, i hope you don't have the last iphone plus gray. i said, glad we preordered so we already have one reserved. that's when he realized he was at the wrong line.

As for the ihe iphone 6+, it's amazing. i didn't open it yet because im waiting on my screen protectors but i was able to play with the store models.. they were fantastic. i also bought a case at the store while i wait for my free apple leather case and i'll just get a refund later. this was suggested by the apple tech btw. LOLOL. he said "well im sure you want to protect your phone right now, so just buy this one and return the other one when it arrives later".

Overall, Apple customer service is bar none the BEST. always will be loyal fan and damn proud of it.

How was your experience? :)

I went to the Apple Store to check out the 6+ today. I was set on the 6+ prior to the announcement event by Apple. And now that I've seen it, it's way too big that what I imagined. The 6 is a better option for me. The 6+ also slipped out of my hands a couple times when I was trying it out with one hand. Lastly, the colors all look kind of bland. I wasn't impressed by colors or design like I was with the 4/4S and the gold 5S only.

Release day experience:

Wake up. Breakfast. Shower. Look at scores of posts and photos concerning Asian scalpers, package thefts, cancelled orders, line cutters, and idiot mall security. Laugh. Query why people put themselves through this nonsense.

Read more posts about scalpers, line cutters, and crowds. Laugh more. Read about dropped iPhones. Laugh.

Update iPhone 5s to iOS 8 from comfort of home office. Shrug at iPhone 6.

End.

LOL @ 4/4s, 5s gold ONLY. you had to specify 5s gold ONLY.

but yea I get you. the 6+ isn't really the most comfortable phone to hold but I love the phone. it's definitely an upgrade to the 5s... the design is amazing and can hold its own against the 4 and 5 series. love this phone man. haha

Yeah, unfortunately, it wasn't until the Gold 5S release did I start liking the iPhone 5S. I just remember being in aww when I saw the iPhone 4. I couldn't leave the store. This time, I left without giving the 6/6+ a second look. Anyway, I'm still getting the. I felt it was the better size of the two. Enjoy your 6+.

Had the same experience, except it was a TMobile store. Wasn't planning to stop or get caught up in the launch day hype, but as I passed by a local Detroit suburb store, noticed there were only 3 people in line at 7:45am. So i stopped, and got out and asked, and they said they opened at 8am, but they only had iP6's in 64GB (all colors), but no iP6+'s or 16 or 128GB's in any variation. Luckily, i was looking for a 64GB. Held a Galaxy Note 3 in my hand for a few to get an idea what the iP6+ would be like, determined it would be too big for my preference, so i picked up a iP6 64GB Space Grey, and was out the door by 8:30am (only reason it took that long was they had computer issues for the first 15 minutes).

Guess I was just in the right place at the right time.

Picking up an iPhone 6 was easy yesterday, it was getting a plus that was the challenge. At the Apple Store I went to they had about 100 of the Plus and probably 500-1000 of the 6. I waited from 3PM of Thursday and was amount the last few who got the Plus.

good for u bruh. wow 100 plus at the store? i thought it would be so rare they were saying 1 plus or max 3 per store.

I heard that a few stores may get more shipments in Tuesday so hopefully I can get one then

so far so good...

woke up not that early since i know i'll be picking it up at the ups local hub. went to ups, noone in line at all, picked up the phone and didn't open it until i got back home.

went to the closest mall and passed by several stores that sold the ip6...

verizon - maybe about 20 people in line
at&t - even less, 10 utmost
tmobile - noone, probably already sold out
sprint - same as tmo
apple store - of course, tens of people in line

went in and checked out the iphones6's on display... i was so glad i picked the ip6, the plus is just too big for my hands, slipped several times.

went home and opened my package, just loved the phone! after restoring from backup, as if nothing happened, phone just worked, just with a bigger screen and some new functionalities.

overall, the experience is fantastic! apple waited until they have to increase their screen real estate. and i think their timing is perfect.

Walked into an att store at 130pm on launch day walked out with a grey 64g 6 in thirty minutes. Was not expecting to get one on launch day after att and chase(who kept flagging my purchase as fraud) messed up my preorder.

Ordered via Verizon's online store. The entire process took less than 10mins. My ordered went through at 2:08am (central time)

damn, guess carrier site preorder took most of the preorders. LOL.

apple was down.
