When Steve demos the video chat feature...
...He will have a live video conversation with Jason Chen.
And mid-conversation - the police will bust down the door!

More seriously, I think Apple will focus on the device.
I think it will be quite amusing if Gray Powell was the name of the contact they use when they show off new features in apps. Like when they do the typical "lets pretend to meet up and go for pizza" scenario when they showed off MMS/SMS/Skype etc etc.
I think they'll make light of the situation. But I also don't think that prototype is the final look of the new iPhone. It's not Apple. It's too busy, even though it's simple. I think they'll get everything sorted in terms of specs and functionality and then they'll encase everything and there will be a lot less seems and we will have something that resembles the original iPhone with the aluminum casing similar to what the iPad has. Just my opinion...
Apple will do what they have learned works. They will allow all of the fans, and all of the financial press to do their work for them.
Then they'll announce a show. With a neat invitation that everybody will dissect from the font, to the colors, etc.
Then there will be a thousand people there, each liveupdating various websites.
He'll announce that they've sold X somethings, and people will cheer.
He'll talk about iPhone 4.0, and how great it is. Then the new phone, which takes advantage of it better than the 3GS.
Immediately following this, there will be 6,000 threads here about how to resell their phone or cheat their wireless provider out of the early cancellation fee, or something.
So, business as usual.
Go on like normal, and I'm sure there's at least a few things that gizmodo didn't find(maybe in the OS) that they'll announce.
I think it would be seriously funny if Steve Jobs were to make a quick mention of Gray Powell and say something like "Those of you that are worried about Grey, not to worry. He is still part of the apple family and testing products as we speak".... Cut to a quick picture or short clip of Gray holding an 80's brick phone or working on a "top secret" Apple II with a comically annoyed look on his face.
I think it will be quite amusing if Gray Powell was the name of the contact they use when they show off new features in apps. Like when they do the typical "lets pretend to meet up and go for pizza" scenario when they showed off MMS/SMS/Skype etc etc.
I don't recall this. What did he say about the nano?
People who have knowledge of design and manufacturing processes have already debunked this idea. The case has to be designed fairly early on. It also has to be finalized at least 3 months before product delivery so that the factory can be tooled up and production begin to get enough phones in the stores by launch. If we are looking at a late June/early July launch, manufacturing should begin in the next week or two.
Edit: as usual, an option is missing in the poll....they'll aknowledge it with a brief joke and move on. No Gray on stage.
That's not to say that the prototype found wasn't six months old itself though... Do we know how old it is? For all we know there could be another newer prototype out there that hasn't been lost with the casing it will launch with.
And I know everyone is so hung up on a July release but what's not to say it will be later than this and therefore time for a case retooling.
Although I fully understand where you are coming from there are still variables that could mean different housing to what we've seen.
