All working perfectly - no slowdown, no spinning beach balls, no heating up.
It wouldn't be heating up. Modern software is mostly written well enough to not load the processor when sitting idle. As for RAM, if and when you do run out of memory, as in your working set doesn't fit, the machine will be less warm because the processor is spending more time waiting for the SSD and less time doing something useful.

also i am constantly at 2GB swap file but dont see or sense any lag or anything aside from the usual crappy tahoe lag.
Having some GBs sitting in swap space doesn't say much about any slow down, the more interesting number is at which rate memory is being paged from and to the SSD.

Is there anything in particular you all plan to test?
Just use and enjoy the laptop as you normally would
I believe you are talking past each other, one is talking about stress test as in "let's see what this is capable of", and the other as in "let's check this hardware is not defective". To which I only say, reviews exist, but so does the bathtub curve.
Stress testing a product of a bygone era.
You forgot the "is" and called the Neo a "product of a bygone era", leading to yet more misunderstandings.
