Well? How good a life are you having?

When you're voting, I want you to really imagine what a 10 would be like.

If your life was a 10, you'd really have anything that you want. You'd have all the money you want, you'd live exactly where you want to live, and you'd live and be friends with exactly the people that you love the most. Everything would be perfect.

Rate your life based on that being 10.

I have the basics, I have a car, I have air-conditioning in a comfortable house (live in Mesa, AZ, very very hot). I have a brand new iMac.

We strugle for money a lot, and I drink nightly. I'm not happy with my life, but I'm not saying it's bad.

I said 10, I love my life, and you all contribute to that number :)

I've never wanted for anything. I don't have a car but I don't need one. I don't have all the money I want but thats all superficial. Everything else- I am a highschool student, there is no way I could give a perfect 10, but life is pretty damn good right now.

And whoever answered with a one better be living in a war torn-African country or have a damn good reason.

I say nine. People anger me at times. :p

Not to sound materialistic or unappreciative, but a perfect 10 life would be pretty much exactly as I have it now, however I'd have a Ferrari. :D

I just had the most amazing discussion with a friend of mine.

We talked about my wedding! I invited him to my wedding. I know who i'm gonna marry. We talked earlier today, and we sorted everything out, and we're getting married in like 8 years, after were both through college.

That just made my life a much more solid 10!

It sort of depends. It's hard to feel wanting if you're relaxing on a gorgeous beach somewhere tropical. :p But there have definitely been times in my life where I was far, very far from feeling satisfied.

This is a bit naiive isn't it. I mean the Queen of England should be a 10 by the above figures but by her own admission she had a horrible annus.

I'll give it a 10. My life hasn't been perfect, but it's been good enough. There's really no point in giving it a lower number.

EDIT: I give this thread less than 24 hours before it takes a turn for the worse.

Lemme guess.

This thread is a prelude to being told that you — yes, you — can have everything you ever wanted if only you open your heart, mind and soul to the wisdom of... The Great Secret Of Life.

Wow, that sounds like a great deal! Are there going to be book signings? And if so, will you wait in line w/ me? :D

Selected aspects of my life are very gratifying, others quite disappointing. Overall, my rating would probably be a generous 4. You make choices and occasionally pass up options that you have plenty of time to regret in a major way later, but that is how it goes ... adapting to your environment and conditions becomes a survival skill.

I voted a 10. Thinking back, I probably should have given it a 9... but I'm glad I gave it a 10, really.
Although my life's not "perfect," it's pretty amazing. I love it here.
I'm happy with my situation and I'm fairly content with my relationships.
Although I could lust for more, I really couldn't ask for more. I'm in a better place than I've ever been, and that what I'm all that I'm asking for.
I feel pretty content at the moment, even though I don't have everything.

(now ask me when I have pms :eek::eek::eek::eek:)

This thread was made so people could feel sorry for themselves. (Maybe this wasn't intentional, but this is what's going to happen).

I realize, some people's lives are harder than others, and some people just have horrible luck. I have probably been through a lot more than most people my age; you don't need to explain anything to me. ...But the way I look at it is you have two options:
1) Keep feeling sorry for yourself ...or...
2) Look on the bright side

Chances are, if you pick #2, you might just be a little happier and things might start to get better, but if you pick #1, things will not improve. That's why I gave my life a 10. Not because my life has been perfect, but I honestly don't see how giving it a 1 or a 2 is going to help anything. I'm still living, and in good health, what more can I ask for?

I'm sorry if I offended anyone or hurt anybody's feelings, because that was not my intent. I just thought I'd share my thoughts.
