I mean, in my book, that factor alone would be justification for Liz to knock a few points off of her score.

Absolutely.

Everyone please be advised that having a horrible anus disqualifies you from having a perfect 10 life.

:p

Nine?

Ten?

Eight, I can believe. Y'all who chose 9-10 are a bunch of stinkin' liars!

What do you mean you think you're crazy? It's not crazy to know who you're gonna marry.

Its crazy when you're 15 and think you're going to even stay in contact with much less marry the same person eight years later. Coming from someone who's six years past that I can certainly tell you that your life may (and probably will) may do a complete turnaround in that time.

Its also just as crazy when you're 21, emotionally unstable and unavaliable, with all your energy going towards keeping your sanity together and yet part of your mind has already decided who you're going to marry. Add to this that you hardly talk to this person, and that she is far beyond me in terms of stability and maturity but somehow in the back of my mind, I know its going to happen someday.

That's crazy.

Not if it's arranged, no. But, otherwise, to say at - what, 15, IIRC? - that you've planned a wedding eight years into the future and are already inviting people... well, I suppose, get back to us in 8 years, but it sounds at best optimistic and naive.

I voted 8. Other than the typical financial stuff that most new married couples at my age go through, and my commute. I think I'm pretty happy most of the time. I've got a great wife. We're having a baby sometime early next year (Late Jan). I spend a lot of time at my church and hanging out with friends.

to all the haters- sorry you guys don't know The Secret, i truly am. but as such, macgeek2005 and i can't help you, and can't expect you to understand the pure joy of life we experience.

jdechko- congrats on the baby!

3.

Normally it would be much higher, but in the next couple of weeks, I'm moving 278 miles away from my home - and my fiancee - to start a new job. I think it's going to be a very good job, and it certainly does pay ridiculously well for an 'entry-level' position. So I'll have a nice car and a nice place to live, which is good because my family and I have never had money. But, I'm definitely a guy who believes that money definitely does not buy happiness. I won't know anybody in Tucson and I'll miss my fiancee terribly while she stays behind for the next couple of years to finish up her degree.

I guess it's just mainly the fear of starting my first real, full-time job... full-time work that likely won't ever stop until I retire.

I gave myself a nine. I have had lots of things to deal with in life this year, but overall I realize I have so much more than man people. I will never have to worry about many things so I consider myself lucky.

This is why you don't get everything you want in life, because you don't believe you can make it happen.

I wonder if you'll be saying that in 8 years when the person you want to marry doesn't want to marry you.

HAHAHAHAHAHA. I'm telling you. This is the way people think. This is the way YOU think. That's why it's like that for YOU. I don't think like that. I just don't.

I am not restricted by the THOUGHTS that others have. Mark my words, they are not Laws, they are Thoughts.

There is only one Law in this universe, and it allowes anybody to have anything they want.

You are wrong.

Okay, I'm dying to know. How are you going to get this girl to marry you in eight years when she doesn't want to marry you? Drugs? Hypnotism? Guilt of some sort? Violence?

Oh, right. You just have to think right. You're not bounded by the thoughts of others, so her's don't matter either.

I'm leaving macrumors. If you guys are gonna start taking a **** on my dreams and my goals, then you can all burn in hell.

I'll stay on the forum for 12 more hours so that the mods have a chance to apologize to me if they feel the need.

I'll get back on here in 8 years to invite you all to the wedding.

Peace out.

macgeek2005- the moderators will not apologize (nor will anyone else), sadly. but remember, we must not blame them, how can we expect them to understand us if they don't know The Secret?

peace, my friend

I wasn't "taking a **** on [your] dreams and [your] goals," I was just taking exception to your "holier-than-thou" attitude around here. If you don't want to be shot down, don't come waltzing in, saying how your life is perfect, how it's so easy for everything to be perfect.

You come in here and you know that people have less-than-perfect lives. People are unhappy in the world. It's a fact. Then you come in here and start telling them it's their fault. Well, you're wrong. Not everything is in your control. You don't get everything you want. The trick is being happy with what you get and that's a hard trick to learn. People here are trying very hard to have happy lives and not succeeding all the time. Stop rubbing your happiness in other people's faces.

You're fifteen, you don't know everything, and I'm sick of you taking a **** on everyone else's lives with your golden turd.

I don't think anyone's crapping on your dreams and goals, just giving you a little real world perspective on things. Face it kid, you're 15 years old and your life is just beginning. There's no telling where you and that other person are going to end up in 8 years. And not even your oh-so-powerful thoughts can guarantee that.

This forum is filled with a fair amount of intelligent people, some your age and some much older and you are probably the one single poster with the most inconsistent and out of touch with reality ideals. You can blabber on about enlightenment or your elevated state of being all you want, but we're going to call you out on your immaturity. That's something which can be guaranteed.
