How's your battery life looking so far?

Over the years I have definitely noticed that the battery meters needs 'calibrating'. Over time batteries can start dying at 4% (for example) but if you calibrate the meter occasionally they will still go all the way down to 1%. I run my batteries down until the device switches itself off at least once a month and never run into any problems.
Apple Geniuses have said you only need to run it to under 5% to get the benefits of the calibration. But like you - I have had zero problems with battery and a clean read out for the whole year I use the newest phone when I practice the monthly calibration.

It comes down to this. Most ppl prob dont use percentage so 4% or 1% is the same. Which is why apple pulled the reccomendation. And yes they have stats on what settings people use on their phones.

Also remember if you do get a shutdown before 1 % then charge back up and you had no idea then you would be calibrating the battery and didnt even know it. You wouldnt even be able to recreate the issue for a genius. So really its a non issue if you calibrate or not

Until you start seeing those weird numbers.. Your phone turning off at 15% which I have happen three or four times a year. Or doing a full charge and it only registering to 99%. These are all symptoms that it's time for recalibration. I agree that in terms of every day activity or even every month activity this isn't something anybody has to worry about.

Right out of the box, a new phone, needs to go through one full recharge cycles to give you the best battery stats and most accurate. That's why this issue came up in this particular thread where people are comparing their battery usage to older phones. Out-of-the-box your phone needs one of these "full charging cycles" before it will read completely accurately.

Newdestiny join my other thread on calibration methods. Would like to hear from you

Just one area. Top third. I can feel it through my case (pretty thin, rubbery case) when I'm using it for videos over wifi etc. I don't ever recall feeling heat through my 6 Plus.
Do you feel hear right under your battery? I always can feel hear from that area when using the device don't know if I should take it in and get it replaced or not

Battery life doesn't seem as good since the ios 9.02 update

iPhone 6s.
I am really impressed. I have iOS 9.1 beta 3.
The battery got better with that version. With beta 2, it was around 7 hours.
Did not use low power mode :)

The battery life on my 6S is alright. On wi-fi the entire time at around 60% brightness. No low power mode and all background updating and location services are enabled.

Can I ask what your settings are like. I have a 6s and I'm not getting that at all. I'm lucky if I get around 6hrs granted its only been one day.
