I'm seeing other people with 6S running betwee 8-10 hours Usage time.
I can't seem to get over 6 hours.
If you play a lot of music your usage time goes way up also, up to 2 hours more usage sometimes, but that is not screen on time. Even though I just posted mine, these screenshots of usage can differ so much from one another depending on the type of usage.
I am pretty sure if you use auto brightness and don't have every single feature turned off, you won't get much more than 6 hours of "screen on" time with a 6s.
My iPhone 6 was the same.

I see! Then I'll probably start turning off some of the features. It's just troubling comparing this to apples own claim on the specification page.

Which iOS version are you running? Are your settings optimized for battery life? low power mode?

Mine can't seem to get pass 6 hours - standard setting 6S iOS 9 B5

I would say anywhere from 5:30 to 7:15 hours is the average time for a 6S. So much of it depends on what you are doing and also your cell/lte signal strength. For me when I'm running openvpn app for a few hours the encryption of a vpn uses cpu cycles. So I get less battery on those days. But if I'm on home or work secure wifi a lot with safari browsing and screen at 30% I can get 7.5 hours.

If you stream/play music with screen off for a long time usual will skyrocket.

Also if you use Facebook app don't expect amazing battery unless you have a 6S plus.

Here are my stats from today. Not too bad. I know it says that the phone's been plugged in. It was, but only for few minutes when I plugged into my MBP to transfer a file. It was connected long enough for the charge to go up by 5%.

So, took it off the charger at 630am. In the morning I used about 25 minutes of Maps for my commute. Also at the same time I listened to a podcast via my cars bluetooth. Once on school campus I put in a good bit of web browsing and time on Twitter. Probably listened to about another 2 hours worth of podcasts. Also, on campus I typically average 1 or 2 bars of LTE but I do use WiFi almost 100% of the time while I'm there. For what I need my phone to do on any given day, this is good for me. I'm happy.

This is on a Samsung chip by the way cause I know some of you are still running around like chickens with your heads cut off cause of that nonsense and will ask lol.

Spend more time going over all of your settings and fine tuning your phone than worrying over this Samsung/TSMC stuff. The Facebook app was a huge hog and tweaking some things for that app took it from the top half of the list to the bottom. A few other settings tweaks helped too but nothing that takes away the experience.

What specifically did you do with the Facebook app I'm curious about. Just turning off its background refresh doesn't do anything because it still uses VoIP in background. Very bad app.

6s or 6s plus?

They don't quote overall battery usage times.
They'll say things like 'web browsing over Wifi - up to 10 hours'. That to me would mean mobile data switched off, strong WiFi signal and no You Tube etc. Just plain web browsing.
So if you're doing all sorts of stuff on your phone and running different apps to other folk, listening to less music, obtaining a poor carrier signal etc etc etc the results will be anyone's guess.

College student here. Mostly use phone for browsing and music, with occasional messaging and Facebook. Auto brightness, LTE and Wifi on all the time. No charging in between. Samsung A9 64GB 6S Plus.

Just a quick question ~ I find that the Battery stats are a good indication how you are progressing through the day,.
However if I reboot my phone with Power+Home button (I have to do it every night because for some unknown reason the Health App locks up) I loose my battery stats for Usage and Standby times.
Does it happen to everyone?

Yes

Try doing a normal shut down (power button only and slide to power off) and then powering back up right away. I'm finding when I do this battery stats are still intact on my 6S+. I think you can only do it once though.

This is my second testing. I used the phone a lot more than I normally do and I'm getting awesome battery life. I have the iPhone 6s+ 128gb (Samsung Chip). Yesterday, I ended my day with 12% left on the battery and had 12 hours of usage and 16.5 hours of standby time. I'm estimating I could've gotten at least another hour to two depending on usage type.

With 12% of battery remaining you could have achieved another hour's usage anyway...
