6s.. Is this good? I didn't use low power mode, just lots of playing around since its new. My first iPhone so I have no base line. First post here too, came from a G3.
Considering it's the non plus model think that's great

This doesn't feel right?

My 6s is definitely worse than my 6. My 6s seems to really eat up the battery where my 6 only seemed to sip on it. I'm still trying to give it some time to see if after a few charge cycles it gets better.

I'm not sure if it's just a fluke, but my 6S battery has been killing it. Better then the last few phones I've had, despite having half the battery capacity.

Well, my battery life wasn't looking too good at first, certainly not as good as my previous 6. Last night, I put it down at 23:00 with 45% left and this morning it was rock solid dead..it usually would never lose that much before morning.

worst part is, at this point it's been on the charger for nearly 20 minutes and it STILL won't come back to life.

thoughts?

sounds like a rogue app taking up its juice if it sucks up 45% on standby overnight. My 6s went down 4% last night. That's with the Hey Siri on, I'm pretty sure it should be better if it's off but I wanna see if the battery is good enough for me to leave this on.

20mins is too long for it to kick back to life.. Try hard reset, it's software is probably screwed up somewhere. I'd do a Software Restore using iTunes and hope it's really a software and not a hardware issue

My 6S+ seems to be lasting a smidgeon longer than my 6+. I've been using the heck out of it.

You upgraded???

How are you finding the new phone?
Yes, I did for my sins. None of the Android phones really wowed me and I couldn't last another year with my 6+.
The 6S+ has a few flaws, hopefully software-related but it's like a completely different phone to the 6+. It absolutely flies and doesn't reload. I'm a happy camper thus far.:)

So far the battery seems to be as good as my 6+. Will have to wait and do a couple full days at work to really tell.

All the hoopla about smaller battery seems to be for nothing as I do not think the battery in the new S series will be a problem except for those who can not keep their hands off their phone.

Awesome so far on my 6S Plus! Haven't had a chance to drain it completely though, but that tells you everything right there. Usually my 6 would die when I'd be on a call late at night.

I've been testing mine carefully.
64GB iPhone 6 Plus vs 64 GB iPhone 6S Plus
Both exactly the same apps.

Mid way through day 3 reveals battery life of iPhone 6S is 15% less (+/- 2%) than my iPhone 6 Plus.

Not bad at all considering it has a smaller battery. Yes I know Apple claims it's optimized but that seems to fail in real life use.

Expecting that reality, I carry an ANKER external battery..D

Yep! I'm new to + sized battery.. And it's kicking it. What some people aren't telling you is that they charge their phone to full "before they go to bed". In that situation the standby numbers will always be padded by eight or nine hours up as the phone is not using anything. Most people charge their phones at night while they're sleeping… Those are the more accurate numbers that we should be comparing against. I charged mine before bedtime last night too so obviously my standby time is padded up a bit since it wasn't on the charger overnight. But I still like these numbers and still 50% battery left.

Cam to 6S from 5S, finding the battery to be on par, which isn't great as the 5S is 2 years old.

So far battery life is fantastic on my 6S. Far better than on my 6 and frankly better than any iPhone I've had. I had very heavy use yesterday and still went to bed with about 40% remaining.

My battery life isn't very good on the 6s but I'm also using it a ton since it's new, it's the weekend, and I'm testing everything quite a bit. I also came from a 6 Plus so I need to calm it down a bit. Probably lower my brightness a smidge. I think it will probably be fine once things go back to normal.

Coming from a 5s, I think I expected to have my mind blown moving to a 6s+. That hasn’t happened, but I’m not really complaining about this either. :p

I'm getting better battery life on my 6s plus over my 6 plus. I'm at 36% battery, 6 h 28 m usage, 11 h 17 m standby.
