even when it dropped to 99% it didn't drain fast after that either.

currently on

6 hours, 36 minutes
12 hours standby

with still 59%

luckily it helps we have wifi at work.
Calibrate your battery meter correctly.. Let phone go all the way to shutoff.. Then full charge to 2 hours beyond it showing 100%.. Then run a typical usage day again - those numbers will improve. Promise. The partial charge they put on at the factory isn't a true test of battery life.
When you charge in this method do you do it with the phone off or on?

My battery life on my 6s was great yesterday. Most of the day I was on Wifi. Didn't use Low Power Mode. My screen brightness is turned down to about 1/3.

Edit: I don't remember plugging it in to charge it at all during the day so maybe these numbers are skewed.

I use it to listen to music watch videos and browse reddit. I just wish the bigger battery would last longer than my 5s

seriously now, i think it's safe to assume the 6S+ will handle battery life decently, or even pretty good.
IMO it's first day, lots of "under the hood" things and updating going on.

That makes sense. Should I also rundown the battery fully and let it charge back up to 100%? I haven't done that yet and just saw someone suggest that.

i have to agree 6s plus has the best battery timing so far, i used it for a day now and still drained not much like earlier version of iPhone.

won't hurt..
but you should definitely relax for a week and then check it again.
besides, i don't know how much use you actually have, watching videos + music..
if you do that all day (videos), then some drainage is logical.

Yep video watching gives the greatest drain. Apples site gives averages of battery life you can expect watching video. I think it's like just 5 hours on 6S+.

so, you see? ^^^^
take that WITH 4g and not wifi, of example,
and this will be even shorter,
ON EVERY PHONE.
so, there..

When I got my new iPhone 6+ the battery was alarmingly fast to drain. Give it 48-72 hours to settle down from doing all the downloads / iCloud backups / iTunes / apple music / spotlight indexing etc. Once it settles down the battery will amaze you. =D If the issue goes past a week, tweet your settings a bit, if it continues call AppleCare they will take care of you.

I watched video and used streaming radio on my 6s, battery life is much better than on the 6 it replaced.

I'm having inconsistent battery life with my 6s+. Pretty much the same usage.

Yesterday I got this with low power mode off to see how long how the battery will last.

Today I got this. And turned on low power mode hoping to get through the day. Pretty much the same setting as yesterday's except I deleted the Facebook app and turned off Apple music hoping to get a better battery life. Any tips?

My 5 seems a bit better. The 6s is not horrible, just isn't quite as good.

That said, I've played with it a lot, so I may just be burning through it quicker.

Mine is doing so much better today than it initially was. maybe it just needed time to settle. It's still not better than my 6 Plus though.

I got 11:30h usage on my 6S+ yesterday. I never listen to music, mainly web browsing over WiFi and calls/SMS. Today I got just shy of 9h but that involved lots of poor signal 3G web browsing and calls. Not even a weak 4G signal where I was today. I suspect that 3G drains faster than 4G.

The battery life reminds me of my 6+ when I first got it. Subsequent iOS updates shaved some time off and I ended up getting 9-10h of usage.

11:20 pm report. 6s Plus, used throughout day, phone calls, wifi, Bluetooth to car, music, bill paying banking app, Internet surfing, looking real good to me so far. Manual screen brightness set about 25%, except when outdoors, then at 90%. Music through speaker or Bluetooth in car. Motion reduction turned on. Hey Siri turned on including sleep mode.

21 hrs standby, 8 hrs 16 min use, 59% battery level.

So far it's better than my 6 Plus. Will continue using to see what I can get"

Yesterday on 6S+ Played about 45 minutes of game then normal usage? Is this about right? Fear I had battery issues because my phone heats up quickly but should I rest easy guys? Thanks

HOW?! DO you have on battery saver? Or have certain features turned off?
Background refresh is off but that's it

Got Bluetooth on all day due to my Apple Watch. I got a lot of Twitter notifications too. The battery life is surprising me too...took it off charge at 5am yesterday and 9.10am next day it's still 36%...just nuts coming from S6 edge

It is poor on my 6s. Worse than the 6 by an hour or more. I use Tapatalk a lot and that sucks a lot of juice but I was hoping it would improve over the 6..
