Nothing really all that noticeable happens either way. You still get notifications as they come in.
Very interesting. Twitter has apparently used 25% of my battery in the last 24 hours. I'm now going to turn it all off. Thanks. I feared I'd no longer get WhatsApps etc.

Keep in mind that disabling background refresh doesn't change whether or not an app can run in the background. So you might still see apps running in the background nonetheless. If so, you can close them out once you are done using them which will prevent them from running in the background.

Good job. I did the same, returned my SEmsung and when they asked for the reason why I returned it, I said it's Samsung.

No one deserves the inferior chip. :D
Do you know if any model has better chance to get TSMC chip? mine: silver white SE 64 GB and both had samsung chip and both had awful battery life

It's awesome. Just plugged in

Not as good as the 6 Plus (6s plus curently). I get on average 8hours on screen time a day for 20-25% left.

My 6s Plus only gets about 8 hours down to 1%, and it's been that way from Day One. I've tried setting up as new, being careful about what apps I use, turn off background app refresh, push and fetch, location services, Siri, and every other tip that I can find, but I never get close to what other 6s Plus users experience. I have an express replacement coming from Apple. We'll see...

I think that's a normal time.

My 6s Plus is the same - about 8hrs max. I've never been able to get the battery life others report, and that's with all background/push services off and screen brightness turned down very low. I do have a Samsung A9 chip. However, I purchased a few 6s Plus's, including TSMC ones, and all got about the same 8hrs of battery life - non of them ever got 11-14hrs. In fact, in my non-scientific testing - this particular Samsung lasted the longest of them all while in-use (TSMC may have beat it slightly in standby). I feel the whole TSMC vs Samsung thing is completely overblown, and in reality, it all comes down to getting a "good" chip from the batch - whether it's Samsung or TSCM. There are some Samsung chips that outperform some TSCM chips - it's just that perhaps TSCM had higher yield rates than Samsung, so there were more "good" TSCM chips.

It really depends on what "usage" is occurring. If I game continuously on my 6s Plus I can kill the battery in about 4 to 5 hours. If I listen to music I can get over 10 hours of usage.

Definitely depends on usage. My normal usage must be light because I can easily get 4 days on a charge with my "normal" usage. But I do most of my reading on my computer, my gaming / reading on my iPad. However, when I go to an event (vacation, birthday, some place where I'm not usually) - battery drains noticeably because I take hundreds of pictures or use my phone a lot. In that usage scenario, I'd barely get a day if that - but I always bring my Anker batteries with me in my backpack for that reason.

I love how I can put the phone on its face (face down) to prevent notifications from burning battery while I'm at my desk working. Has helped standby battery life significantly.

Ok, good to know I'm not alone. Thanks to all.

It definitely does depend. I could go 4 days on a cycle when i was extremely busy but usually 2 days. At weekends it lasts a whole day. All because of my usage.

Mine usually stays 9 hours on screen and about 48 hours standby.
Also 6plus has a bigger battery.
48 hours thats very good?

mine on average standby is anything from 20-30 hours

however today i have 7 hours usage and 11 hours standby with only 34% left..so sometimes you never know.

Those anker batteries are great. I have the 21000 unit. It will last for about 5 days if I charge my phone once a day

That aside 9.3.3 b4 battery life is very good, wet finger in the air measurement.

On average 48 hours is good, isn't it ?
I'm ok with that. Also i can go up to 4 or 5 days with a light usage.
