7+ after first charge. Wifi and 4G, 2-3 signal bars in general on 4G. Safari usage was the most about 82%. Died about 15 mins after this.

I think it depends on how you use it. There's two different CPUs in it: a higher powered CPU and a lower one. Doing a lot of low processor stuff should result in much better battery life that the 6s plus. Doing more high processor stuff would give worse battery life.

Personally I'm finding the battery life on the 7 Plus to be slightly better than my 6s Plus. My 6s Plus was getting 6 hours of usage at my office, which I didn't think was that great. According to Apple it should be 1 hour better on average.

Oh I know. I'm mostly just doing email, chats and reading the news. I've disabled a lot of background refresh, location, etc.
I've also noticed the 7 taking a much bigger battery hit when in no cell coverage areas than my 6s did. Much bigger.

My battery life is really good in standby. I don't lose a single percentage through the night. Im able to make it through my day with somewhat heavy use, and still have about 50% battery life left when I return home. I'm mostly impressed with how little battery games drain. My husband, on a nexus 6p, lost 7% battery in a 30 min gaming session. I lost 1% in that same time.
Have yet to test it out with videos.
My main source of battery drain is music while browsing or reading, during my daily 3.5 hour commute.

I assume this is a 7 plus?? Amazing battery life

For us to believe those stats you need to take a screen shot that allows us to see under the standby bar.. As that's where you see the message "this phone has been plugged in since last full charge"... or a large blank area.

I don't think I believe 36 hours StandBy.

I absolutely believe it......I had around 45 hours of standby on my 7 plus yesterday.

I have had similar results on a 6S plus

That should totally be possible on a 7+. Here is my 7 (non-plus):

Most usage was Safari. Then a combination of whatsapp, tapatalk and various other apps. Just the bunch of apps I use every day. Btw I have everything turned on, except Bluetooth.

Ah - that's right - most of you run un-jailbroken.. I remember getting 24 hrs standby on my 6SPlus stock... before JB.. You guys keeping passcode lock off and Background app refresh off?

If that's a 7Plus result stock on iOS 10.. can't wait for mine to arrive.

Battery life could and should be better
Slightly better than 6S but nothing to get excited about even though Cook said up to 2 hours better I didn't believe it

Believe what you like. Got no reason to lie.

Got to say I'm very impressed with the 4.7 iPhone 7. I paired it with Apple watch, turned on location for almost every apps, auto brightness, Hey siri,... Basically I don't want to turn off any features. I'm comfortable get through the day with relatively heavy use. I plan to get the 7 Plus later tho so its battery will be even more amazing

I've turned off all background activity and quashed the useless location services.

Had to work yesterday and used my phone maybe 45 minutes to an hour of screen time in a 9 hour period. After starting with 100% charge from home and at the end of that 9 hour span, my battery showed 98% charge left.

That is in a ⚫️⚫️⚪️⚪️⚪️ To ⚫️⚫️⚫️⚪️⚪️ signal area on AT&T here Miami Dade county, FL.

Pretty impressed.

I wanted to check a full cycle on my 7 Plus today, but Springboard crashed and wiped battery usage stats.

About what % brightness are your phones set at? I'm around 50%.

Also, is there any reason to keep any Background Refresh on? Do I need Google Maps on?

My iPhone 7 battery life is meh. It's not bad, but not better than my iPhone 6. That's a bit of a bummer to me. Hopefully iOS 10 updates come to the rescue.

Yep, I'm gonna let mine die today. Battery % seems lower than my 6S, but I think its because I haven't let it die, and the battery indicator isn't calibrated. It may show 60%, but really be 80%.
