Has anyone else had this issue?

My Usage and Standby times match exactly. I'm not on about I've used it for 1 minute and it's been one stand by for one minute. I mean I charged it, went to bed, woke up with 8 hours usage and 8 hours standby. This isn't a one off, it's happened since I did a set up as new a few days ago.

Ok it is 4:37 central time and here are the stats for my 7+

85% battery

Usage: 1hr, 51 min
Standby: 8hr, 24 min

Third time charging the battery was today. The first two time's the battery went down fast. I did a few thing's that seemed to help with battery life. The only thing i know of so far using a lot of battery is recording in 4K. I tried running the battery down by using any app, talk, text. I was taking a video out the door just to drain the battery, and started adjusting the lens. I'm very impressed with changing distance as you shoot. Got impatient so charged around 19%. it took 3hrs 5 min to reach 100%

These are all iPhone 4 battery usage times. The last REAL battery Apple made. They keep glutting up the iOS with more features.. sucks up any additional battery they give us..

Looks like 7/7Plus is promising.

The battery is phenomenal for the iPhone 7 4.7. I turned location service always for weather and other apps, always paired with Apple watch so bluetooth on all the time, I turn on just about all the features ( Hey siri, background refresh for every app....), have google photo do auto sync, always on LTE, got a bunch of emails in sync, browse the Web, check feedly, I use the phone quite a lot and this is what I got so far. I did listen to music via bluetooth for about 1 hour. Crazy good battery for a phone this thin. Wow.

My 7+ has been awesome.

7hr 33m usage
15hr 48m standby

Used it all day with Bluetooth audio and it survived the whole day at work without charging. Doing the same with my 6s required a charge at some point to last until I went to bed. I'm definitely liking the battery life. May have to rock the plus model from now on.

I had same issues months ago with my 6s Plus and few weeks ago with my apple watch. Just hard reset it and it fixes everything.

That's the 4.7 inch model?! Impossible! You are using a Smart Battery Case for sure

I don't use any case at all. I do have auto brightness on. But I turn it up a bit when it's too dim. This surprised me as well. This phone will easily go through the day as you see the time was 9:30pm and I start my day at 7am. However, I should note that I didn't record video or play games. these 2 sure eat battery a lot.

Yeah some people are faking us out here by photoshopping the warning out - at the bottom of the screen where it says "your phone has been on charger since last full charge".. happens every year during new phone battery check time.

Nah. No interest in faking/ trolling. The iPhone 7 has great battery and for me, it's more than enough to go through the day. Here is today's usage. People can "fake" their long usage by listening to music a lot. I didn't listen to music today.

I'm in the process of just using the phone and letting the phone die, then charge it back up completely.

Here's where I'm at currently, 7 Plus. All I've done so far is charge it to 100% from the initial partial charge out of box:

Can anyone help. I done a fully cycle charge. Went to check my battery usage and standby times only to find this. I have rebooted my phone, turned my phone off and reset all settings.

Rebooting the phone in iOS 10 wipes out the usage times. It also gets wiped out on a Springboard crash which occasionally happens in iOS 10.0.2 when swiping down to show the Notification Center.

Those times of battery life don't make any sense. Nobody post their settings alongside. It depends how your use your device and what settings and services are switch on and off. Everyone should post them too!

My Iphone 7 is presently:

Usage 6hr 26min
Standby 46hr 47min
14% remaining
IOS 10.0.2

is this good?

Another thing that can artificially run up those standby numbers are when some folks charge their battery BEFORE bedtime and then leave it off charger for the whole night. You wake and the phone is still on 100% or 99%. And you start the day of use already with 6-10 hours of standby. When the phone is in deep sleep it uses nearly no battery of any kind. Most people keep their phones on charger all night and take off in am.

Other things I've used over the years to drastically reduce battery time

• Reduce Brightness to 50% or less
• Turn off Push Mail
• Turn off Background App refresh
• Use Minimal Location Services especially the ones sort of hidden at bottom of list behind the Tab called System Services. You really don't 'need' ANY of those switches on except Traffic, Location based iAlerts, maybe HomeKit. The switches in that window are real battery hogs. Been there since iOS 5.
