I wonder what made Allison Johnson leave Apple for HP in the first place?

That thought had crossed my mind also. Think that it is still good news for Apple. Allison's time at HP allowed her to increase and broaden her knowledge. I do hope that this will allow Apple to increase its presence in advertising.

What I want to know...

What did she do with Apple before?

As for ad ideas... I seem to remember everyone here during the G5 Powermac commercials saying...
"show the os and what it can do!"
So I'm hoping this is a Tiger/iLife push first then a hardware angle.

With all the news coverage, there really is no need to advertise right now.

Fishes,
narco.
Not only this, but the fact that the hardware isn't widely available just yet would make advertising counter-productive.

...and the stock at hp continues to rise....hmm, usually the ceo leaving would SCARE investors/wall street.

On the other hand, the director of PBS is stepping down next year. Big Bird is not being considered a conspirator for insider trading.
