Guess I won't be watching the webcast:

Noticed this myself too. Hmm, let's see if I can trick myself in anyway...

EDIT: Nope, IE for Mac didn't work, nor making Opera identify itself as MS IE 5.23

BTW, I would've thought the iPod would've have a different name or color at least. We'll se if it'll even have an hp logo on the back.

Incredible that they dont support mac. I used their test site 4 hours ago and it worked fine and now for this live broadcast they dont support mac. Plainly stupid,.

i click attend and it says you MUST use WINDOWS and INTERNET EXPLORER! What?!?! They are bringing out the hPod, which is made by Apple... yet their site wont work on mac! Outrage

Wonder if their iPod only works with windows as well...

Windoze Media Player popped open when the browser window suggested it might work -- seeing as how this is, yet again, another thing ;) :D that Safari can't handle.

It's a regular iPod, with both HP and Apple logos on the back, slightly different box with joint logos. They also have some sort of overlay sleeves "tattoos" to change the appearance.

And it still doesn't work. HP sucks.

I've tried firefox, ie and safari no luck.

Wonder what Steve thinks of this as he wirelessly tries to access the broadcast on his 17" PB...guess he'll have to resort to Virtual PC

Oh please! That's most malarky I've read in this whole thread. If the iTMS goes away the iPod will do just fine. It works perfectly well as a straight mp3 player, which is probably what most people use it for anyway.

You're exactly right SeaFox - think of all the people (such as myself) who don't even have the option of buying tunes from iTMS since it hasn't been released in their respective countries yet. That doesn't deter people from buying iPods, and for me, it's a non-issue that Canada doesn't have iTMS yet - I love my iPod regardless!

Not blue? Weird.

Then it seems hardly different than when Dell sold iPods.

Still a good sales channel.

Or maybe new pics are needed.

Ok, have no fear. The presentation is incredibly boring. There were about 25 seconds worth of ipod. I'm not getting any sound by the way.

It looks exactly like the standard 4G ipod except it's got an HP logo next to the Apple on the back. Everyone can go back to work now. Nothing to see.

Yes and no. If it is formatted for Apple, will only work on a Mac. If formatted for Windows, will work on a PC and a Mac.

Ah, good to know, I didn't realize that. Thanks for the enlightenment, rdowns.

this feed is rubbish! im on my pc now. there are two boxes, one big one, one small one, and the presentation is in the small one. it's really odd!!! says broadcast will start after feed... well they havent got long! only 10 minutes left.

the they've called it iPod not hPod... iPod + HP on the boxes.
