No, not really.

Yes really. The only thing the NASCAR car has over the Hyundai is speed. I would argue its actually less comfortable too. On the other hand the iPhone not only does what the cellphone does, it does it with more comfort and a plethora of other features

Speed, performance, braking...etc. of course how one views a cellphone is subjective as you noted.

In a nutshell its faster,it stops faster. And that's really the only difference between a Prius and a Bugatti Veyron. You say that is analogous with an iPhone and a cellphone?

About right I suppose. In cell phone terms circa 2007:
-make calls check
- get an app check
- log onto Internet check
- send emails check
- cut and paste o_O
-etc

And they both get you there; except one has a faster overall engine, but hey if one likes "driving miss daisy".:)

To add to this list:
- energy saving cpu's
- fastest soc designs on mobile platforms
- software enabled bokeh

Thats my point. Both get you to the destination. Nothing changed much since 1956. Engines became efficient and more powerful as did the drivetrain, handling and car designs but fundamentally the car does only 1 thing and thats to get you where you wanna go. That may change with Elon Musk's ambitious self driving cars but for now we are stuck with the same cars except they are faster .Cellphones till 2007 had basic web connectivity, some small apps and games but fundamentally the only things they were great at was just to communicate with other people. Without a SIM, you have a paperweight in your hands. Thanks to Jobs, there are so many things the iPhone is good at. I browse more on my iPhone and iPad more than my PC. I type documents, sync all my fitness data and even use it for some professional work and the best part is it all works as if its deisgned for it

Finally you understand that the difference between an iPhone and a cellphone is far greater than a 1956 vs 2016 automobile.

No, this is to show the difference between cell phones of 2007 and today haven't really changed much except for the styling. Pretty much could do same things, except technology marches on. cpus and memory got faster cheaper. A 2017 Bugatti can not only get one there faster, but probably more fuel efficiently than a 1956 Chevy. But they both get you to the same place.

And there are more similarities than there are differences. All jobs did was iterate a design and concepts already in-place. Not denying it wasn't popular.

Call me when the cellphones from 2007 run auto cad,can run complex 3D games, VR, proper multi touch and spen hover to preview files etc

Let me get this straight. Between 1956 and 2016 the only things which changed are
1. The car starts and goes faster
2. The car stops faster
3. The car uses less fuel

So you can tell me 3 differences between a 1956 and a 2016 car and none of them really change the use case of a car.1 and 2 cant even be called advantages considering the amount of traffic I see nowadays

No there are more differences than similarities. The only similar features are to call people and web browsing

Use case of a cell phone hasn't really changed either for years. Like the car, phones got smaller, displays got better. But people still use them to make calls, text, email and run apps. They were doing all of the that prior to 2007.
