And what is this reason? The fact that US was caught spying on Huawei?

Eh what's your point here, cause I assume you're not posting from China right?

Very Happy to read a link on such a story too, if you wish to post. It's all very interesting.

I've seen consumer based Chinese electronics in action and utterly compromised out of the box. Incredible, but only works if the public remain ignorant.

While the top-half looks good to my eyes from an aesthetics standpoint, I really cannot take these designs seriously until the chin is eliminated. I’m dumbfounded that these competing brands have not found a way to hide the display controller. Especially Samsung, who is absolutely the best OLED maker on the planet.
Well, samsung Galaxy S phones do have a flexible display. I suppose the only reason they have kept a chin is to keep the lower bezel symmetrical with the top one which houses the cameras. That really is the best solution as far as I am concerned. If only the phone also came with a FaceId like system.

On an unrelated note, I do not like the edge display on the side of the GalaxyS phones. I hate the glare along the long edges it invariably produces.

Where is the speaker slit for this phone ?
The notch on the iPhone has a speaker slit.
Maybe they did what Xiaomi did several years ago with the Mi Mix; no opening for the speaker at all, using the frame as the membrane. Chinese innovation at its best.
