Looks good, can't wait to see what Apple will do with it.

Market it.
It's difficult to stay ahead of competitors technically especially if they make many of the components in their backyard.
Apple's key advantages has always been marketing, eco-system, ease of use, and software (although one may argue less so in software these days)

god I cant wait for the iPhone 7 camera. Its not that its a bad camera, but i'm never that excited to use my 6s+ cam

Dual cameras. Huawei April, Apple September... revolutionary.

Anyone can think of amazing ideas.
Anyone can build a crude and impractical product using those ideas.
The real innovators have the vision to make those ideas work.

There were fingerprint sensors on phones before TouchID. They all were crap.
Same with 3D touch. Crap. Same with this 2 camera phone.

Don't confuse thinking of some idea first as revolutionary.
What is revolutionary is making that idea WORK in the real world.

WOW, looks like they pretty much stole Apple's colour pallet.

Wow, I never realised Apple was the first ever to make different coloured mobile phones!

It's ridiculous how some people on here seem to think nothing existed in the mobile world tech space before Apple arrived... Yeah, Apple invented those colours, they have patented them and will no doubt be taking Huawei to court next week.

Or as the Smartphone competition Arena calls it "Acceptably undeniably unique innovation unlike ANY other manufacturer is doing"

Is it me or are those colours very familiar?

Nope totally not familiar at all:rolleyes:

Granite Gray
Elegant Rose Wine
Platinum
And Rustic Gold are totally unique never before seen exclusive colors
/s

( seriously tho just humor and joke speculation on color names  )

Can't imagine anyone paying $700 for this generic no name China brand phone.

First Samsung was suppose to dethrone Apple.
Then Xiaomi.
Now Huawei. LOL.

Give me a break. All these fake brands will get castrated like Samsung and beg Apple to buy CPU chips from them. Samsung is dust compared to Apple now. Xiaomi has been rejected as an Apple poser and is as worthless as horse dung. Huawei will be a rotten carcass by next year.

I was expecting it to just be a smartphone with two cameras cheaply thrown on. But, at least on the surface, they really seem to have thought through how to make use of these two cameras. As a photographer myself, it all sounds very impressive. How will the final product perform? That's the real question. It will be interesting to take a look at the photos produced by this thing. Hopefully such a camera isn't limited to only the Plus sized iPhones as this would be something everyone could benefit from.

Difficult to tell from just a PR piece. Two cameras is great, but it all depends on the software that is driving them. It's easy to be impressed by a 16-core AMD chip until you compare the actual performance.

Yeah, Apple really needs to get rid of that crap.
Why? You can't really use the 6/6+ series without a case anyway. It's the only iPhone I've felt that way about. A bump just allows the best camera possible in a thinner frame. Now I'd love if Apple made a much grippier and durable iPhone 7, then I can go caseless again and wouldn't want a bump.

Beautiful phone, good camera technology, great lens pedigree. Were it not saddled with Android it would a fantastic option. If someone ever comes up with a "hacken-tosh" phone process for iOS this would a worthy pallet to work off of.

I always use a case, but many people don't.

Physics, right? A dual camera implementation just looks on its face like the perfect solution for improving cameras on mobile phones. Combining images from two small sensors with two small lenses into one much better image makes a ton of sense. I think it's quickly going to become as desirable a feature in mobile phones as high dpi was.

Of course, me and my cyclops phone will try not to weep too loudly as we begin the countdown to obsolescence.
