"Huawei" is pronounced wrong in the video. (It's sad. They should've done a better job.)
The correct pronunciation is more like "who-Ahh???-Way???" (should be pronounced like two consecutive questions)

Not sure how you came up with that pronunciation.

I guess dual-camera on devices are the trend.

Wow, I never realised Apple was the first ever to make different coloured mobile phones!

It's ridiculous how some people on here seem to think nothing existed in the mobile world tech space before Apple arrived... Yeah, Apple invented those colours, they have patented them and will no doubt be taking Huawei to court next week.

Oh no. Another Android martyr.

Show me a flagship Gold smartphone that came out before the 5s?
Or Rose Gold?

Android is free to pick the exact same colors as iPhones but it just reinforces the idea that all they do is copy Apple. And looking at the posts here that is exactly how people feel.

People complain that Apple has stopped being revolutionary, but I think the big problem, at least with phones and tablets, is that there really isn't much more that can be done with the current technology. They've made them do nearly everything they can. Now they just make them better. And it appears cameras are where the biggest improvements will come. It's nice to see the dual camera in action. Here's hoping that Apple will make improvements on this.

Hopefully this news pushes Apple to include the new camera system on both the 7 and 7 Plus if they didn't plan on it already.

Beautiful phone, good camera technology, great lens pedigree. Were it not saddled with Android it would a fantastic option. If someone ever comes up with a "hacken-tosh" phone process for iOS this would a worthy pallet to work off of.

This is like saying:

Wow this Car looks so great. The exterior is sweet, rims are hot. The interior is flawless. Too bad the engine needs to be replaced every 5000 miles.

anybody actually excited about the technology? i am... if the video isn't exaggerating the 'parallax' type separation of fore/mid/background - or the 'post-production' aspects to all of this - i'm damn excited for what apple does with it. the iPad pro 9.7(2) may end up being this (aspiring/amateur) filmmaker's wet dream this time next year..

if this tech sees light of day like that, and iMovie ramps up (or we see a FinalCut 'Light' for iOS) - expect to start seeing way more people creating a new indie-industry with their tablets... i suppose i say all this (rather than focus on the obvious average phone-photographer's enjoyment) because i'm in the pro tablet-as-camera camp. big time. even a phablet doesn't hold a candle to that sweet sweet 10" monitor.

Do you seriously want me to do that? I see you have 'attempted' to catch me out by stating 'smartphone'. Did you know Apple also invented humans. Amazing really...
And an Android martyr, oh how you have totally failed sir. You Apple apologist you.

What you describe would be a desired ride for any motorhead to drop their own hot-6 into and off they'd go. Which was my point. Don't know what you're getting at.

Can't imagine anyone paying $700 for this generic no name China brand phone.

First Samsung was suppose to dethrone Apple.
Then Xiaomi.
Now Huawei. LOL.

Give me a break. All these fake brands will get castrated like Samsung and beg Apple to buy CPU chips from them. Samsung is dust compared to Apple now. Xiaomi has been rejected as an Apple poser and is as worthless as horse dung. Huawei will be a rotten carcass by next year.

Someone at Huawei hurt you didn't they? Badly, it seems.

I notice the 5.2" model is only like 7mm taller and maybe 3mm wider than the 4.7" iPhone 6S (and actually thinner with no protruding camera).
I would think Apple ought to be able to fit a dual lens in the smaller iPhone 7 as well, if they want to.
Unless Tim is just trying to upsell people to the larger model for more $$$.
Naw, he wouldn't do that, would he?

Android's camera is passing iPhone now. Android phone already has the 'background blur' effect today and works awesome!

Exactly. Very few people want to drop in their own engine after buying a new car. Just as very few would want to replace their entire OS.
