I'm going to put it in the trunk so it's safe on the way home while I drive down the freeway at 90mph to beat the activation server rush

That's not too bad. Are they pretty fast there or is it a post office atmosphere? Lol

Someone told me to have the same expectations of the post office and I'll be fine

. That will be me just trying to get there and back to work in an hour. The hub is 20 mins or so away from my office.

Yup you got it, post office atmosphere. No sense of urgency, can't they tell we're Apple zombies and need our new device!

I'm already feeling the no sense of urgency...my status hasn't updated to available for pick up yet lol

I'll climb over the counter if I need to and find the package myself. I've been waiting for 13 days!

I have requested the phone be held at the UPS CC. My tracking shows a destination scan but also still shows in transit. Should it say something else when I can pick it up?

On the Verizon pre order thread, someone posted a pic and it does show you that it's ready for pick up.

Mine's arrived at the hub, but it hasn't been scanned as available for pick up yet. I keep refreshing the page

I'm refreshing about every 3mins. I really wanted to be there at 8, but it doesn't look like that'll be happening. Maybe waiting an hour or so is better (less traffic, no one there, etc.)

It doesn't matter if it changes to "ready for pickup". When you get there the guy goes and finds it in the back.
