Eating a person isn't the same thing as consuming their breast milk. The milk is replenishable, and given willingly.
I don't think that we could say the same thing regarding cannibalism.

What about human liver or skin?

I'll take mine with a cherry on top. Hey, it sort of looks like a nipple. :D

And me, £14 for an ice cream is bloody ridiculous!

It's the performance art experience of it you're paying for.

Oh, and you get an optional shot of Calpol for icecream headaches and a couple of baby rusks with it too. :D

To be fair, human breast milk has a flavor vaguely reminiscent of sweet coconut milk...Probably makes freakin awesome ice cream.

Please explain how you know this! ;)

Although to come clean myself, yes I can confirm it certainly tastes sweeter than cows milk.

Not sure if the same applies in the US, but richer families in Europe have been known to employ a wet nurse who breast feeds children who aren't their own so there really isn't an argument for it being solely between mother and child.

Why is the Guardian using ounces?

Good question. Didn't notice until you pointed it out. Two answers come to mind:

1. That they've lifted parts of their reporting from the company's press release which uses ounces... and being a nice round number like 10, instead of some fractional metric number, they've left things as they are.

2. The Guardian's website is becoming increasingly transatlantic in focus, with many political and other news stories from the US making the front page. Perhaps it's just a matter of audiences.

I'm more inclined to go with the first reason as the Daily Mail story is the same. Everything in fluid ounces. More pictures there if anyone's interested.

Like the style of the owner, they've clearly spent a lot of money on the entire look, branding and concept behind Icecreamists. This story is a brilliant piece of marketing; it's been reported all over the world.

Keeping you abreast of the news... I love London.

Organic, free-range and totally natural, how much for some Baby Gaga ice-cream in a glass? £14. That's about $US23. And it all sold out today.

Ben & Jerry's have some catching up to do.

I have to commend you BV, both on your post and the subsequent replies. You're really sharp and on your game. Must be the razor blades that you had for breakfast :)

This is terrible, how dare Humans drink Human Milk and not Cows Milk......seriously though I wouldn't drink the Human stuff and I stopped the Cows Milk along time ago, best thing you could ever do for your health.

So, you refused breast milk as an infant??

It's just a question of timing.

And Moo Cow **** Milk is good for your bones, so they will last you a life-time.

I go through 4 litres of 2%, about every 8 days.

As an alternative point of view to BV's comments, I along with most parents I know always think of baby milk in ounces despite being brought up on the metric system. My lad gets a 9oz bottle every night, couldn't tell you how many ml that is unless I looked at the other side of the bottle (which for sheer curiosity sake I've now had to go and do - 260ml). Babies bottles just always come in ounces!

Long time, no see, absolut_mac. :) But no, I'm not on my game. Those days have long gone. Def. not the bundle of fun I used to be.

Anyway, possibly going into town this week and while there, I have to go to Covent Garden to the London Graphic Centre, so I'm tempted to check out this place and try some Baby Gaga, just out of mega-curiosity, if they haven't sold out all over again. All in the interests of science, of course.

If I do, I'll take a couple of snaps with my phone and write up a review for this thread.
