Well, I don't know about you guys, but I like to attach my dongles with duct tape. It looks clean and there's no logo.
Yeah... that's the whole "form over function" Apple thing. In their mind, things like having a thinner iPhone with a camera goiter is preferred over a thicker phone with a flush camera.... or having a notch in the screen over a slim top bezel. This is the maddening thing about lack of ports on Apple products. The user ends up with ugly, cobbled together solutions to get ports that any other computer has by default. And at additional cost.
Well they are, and people are buying their products. They're a good company. Though to speak for myself I tend to wait for a sale from them.Useful addition and neat design - but waaaay too expensive.
Hello, you're not Apple - you can't ask for this prices....
Given which port it connects to, I'd assume… Thor?which one?
LMAO ... what song\movie is this from? reminds me of 'Don't like you cause your feets too big'.
You mean like on all Imacs since USB is on the back of them?Just looking at it I feel like every time you insert/remove a USB stick you will screw up your monitor angles so if it requires 2 hands, one to keep the monitor from moving, that kind of negates the usefulness.
which god?..
Give me an extended USB keyboard with a built-in USB hub. I’m 100% okay with a wired keyboard. All because Apple is so stubborn with ports... Can't have any on the front, can't have any on the side, can't have USB-A on a desktop because the world will end.
Why not? Everybody can ask for X prices. The question is, will you find buyers, who will pay that price?Useful addition and neat design - but waaaay too expensive.

Yesteryear? Like 2020? Let me show you my laptop bag full of dongles. Ethernet dongles. HDMI dongles. A dongle/dock with extra USB-A ports and an SD card reader. And I still need more ports. It harkens back to the days of yesteryear when we'd attach a whole bunch of ugly crap to our computers to make them useful.
To me, this is the right approach by Apple. Many people do not need ports, many others use them only once (e.g., plugging in a storage device and leaving it there), and those people accordingly do not need the ports to be visible or readily accessible. For those who do, options abound. All because Apple is so stubborn with ports... Can't have any on the front, can't have any on the side, can't have USB-A on a desktop because the world will end.
Bolded part, I agree, those look much better and more functional. It murders the iMac's design; and the iMac is the most design-focused machine appe makes.
I would rather buy a traditional brushed alluminium hub (probably thunderbolt) and put it on the back.
Clever comment, I had to laugh out loud.👍i guess, whichever one floats your ark...
Easy, just put something soft in between, like a thin rubber sheet/tape.My fear would be scratches to the chin from that clamp. How secure is it is another question.
thanks, i'll be here all weekClever comment, I had to laugh out loud.👍
and it has been answeredSeems that was what was being asked. Question seems reasonable.
Is this Johnny Ive?It murders the iMac's design; and the iMac is the most design-focused machine appe makes.

U.G.L.Y. is a song from the band Fishbone, off the EP Fishbone released in 1985.LMAO ... what song\movie is this from? reminds me of 'Don't like you cause your feets too big'.
does this adapter give you what you need/want besides it's placement? If so you're nitpicking for esthetics when it functions just fine. Instead of having a longer, flopping/dangling cable used to allow central mount - this is perfect. From feel you can tell how many USB-C ports are used at the back.
