still a problem and looking through my old threads so yea..

Have you tried replacing one of your daily servings with decaf? Do that for a week or two, then replace another... etc.

I should..just none of may fav colas is decaf dangit lol
 
truthfully , i quit cause it was too bloody much money being pi$$ed away every day , i guess i could say what i save(d) paid for my mac and a bunch of other stuff this last year...
figure you're spending $2.50-4.00 a day on chemical rotgut and then think what you could buy each year with that , its like $1500.00 a year you didn't have in your pocket...
 
you do realize that they are linking HFCS to liver kidney brain and eye damage?
nasty stuff on the whole...
 
With caffeine

I am trying to wean myself off but I will get such a bad headache and get uber tired/no motivation at all if I haven't had caffeine in a while (like a day)

I used to drink like 6 cans of diet soda a day for a while and I need to stop

How can I get off of this?

Any steps/reccomendations?

Did you take an introductory psychology course and suddenly decide that caffeine is some sort of evil chemical that is going to destroy your brain? If so, stop freaking out over nothing. If you don't want to drink caffeine, just stop. If you want to do it in stages, switch to tea and drink less.

Just drink something else. You aren't being forced to drink 2L of soda a day and those god awful Monsters.

Take responsibility for what you put into your body.

And I say that with a :)
 
Change the habit for a better one = healthy one -> drink water or some of fruit juice instead.
Add something new to your daily routine.
Anything new in your day to day life typically takes 21 days to become a habit.
REward yourself with something else as you make progress, like the first week without taking it do something that you like better than drinking caffeine.
 
I had a caffeine "addiction" for a while, and gave it up cold turkey. Man up; the headaches and dull brain only last for a week or so. Or they did with me..

I still drink coffee, but it's not a dependency.

I too have addictions including caffeine and smoking. I was able to stop for while but my way was because of medical reasons. So if you have any surgery or dental work you need done, use that time and the prescribed meds to help ween off the soda
 
the best remedy to quit caffiene is to start doing cocaine,that will counter balance the effect of your neurons in your brain stem...i'm serious
 
Try mixing in a bit of diet cola, say 25% for a week or two, then 50%, then 75% etc. That's how we cut down on our caffeine intake and didn't get any headaches at all.
 
Just wean yourself off it. Have a caffeinated drink at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then after a week skip the lunch caffeine (or if thats to much at first just drink half then throw the rest away). Then gradually have less and less, you shouldn't even notice it.
