I don't understand why the people that think there are no bending problems, jump into the threads about bent iPhones, just to argue. If you don't think there's a problem, skip those threads. What do you have to gain by arguing or trying to prove the OPs "wrong"? I can almost understand a bunch of kids doing this, but in one thread, Surf Monkey stated he was 50. Must not have anything better to do.

You DO get that the "you have nothing better to do" smear is about the easiest thing to have thrown right back in your face, right?

Example: you spend so much time here that you know how old I am? Maybe you should go outside and get some fresh air more often.

See what I mean?

Can you post his quote next to your alleged quotes? From what I have read so far you did misrepresent what he said.

To me saying all iPhones will get bend and only time will tell if more iPhones get bend are not even close to the same. It's not really an opinion either. It's fact. You should google how little changes in language can make big differences. And vs or. If vs only if vs if and only if, and so on.

If the quotes he provided are real, then you 100% misrepresented him just like his phone is bent.

If he lied, then please provide the real quotes.

For one, the thread is right here on the site so I see no reason to replicate it here.

For another mailman is simply trying to obfuscate the central point of my post by focusing on a technicality (the word "just") so why would I indulge that weak tactic?

No pictures. Figures
No pictures = complete ********

How would you even see the pictures with your head in the sand?

If there was a dust leak problem, people wouldn't be clamoring for pics. What is so impossible to believe about a bent iPhone? How many different pics of the phone bending in the exact same place do people require before they'll stop with the knee jerk reactions?

I decided to try the OP's test and laid my 6 Plus face down on 6 different table tops. When face down on 4 of the tables, no wobble. On 2 of the tables there was a wobble. Which just goes to show you, table tops are not a very good way to tell if your phone has a slight bent. In fact, when I moved the phone to different spots on those two tables, the wobble would disappear or reappear depending on location on the table. The tables looked flat to my eye, but in most cases, tables are indeed not completely flat.

Well, that is one way to look at it.

The other way is to look at it is that some tables or parts of tables CAUSE not just the bending but the unbending.

Yes, folks...we know have

Tablegate !!

It's always the same people arguing in any "bent" threads. Different bent victim - same Apple defenders

Sigh...

Just because you see a photo a bent phone does not mean that it got that way under normal usage like putting it in a gym bag, taking the case off, or carrying it in your front pocket.

Why is that concept so hard for people to get?

Do you think the photos of the bent phones all belong to the people who own the phones or maybe, just maybe, they are Apple store display phones that they bent and took a picture of? Or one that was already bent from someone else's vandalism in the Apple store?

And you know they are different because they have a different anonymous user name on an internet forum? LOL.

I don't believe random people on the Internet when it come to this topic. Problem?

I would point out that I quite vocally defended YOU. Your case seemed quite legitimate in all respects. Many of these others, including this one? Not so much.

Didn't mean any offense to that. Just tired of jumping in bent threads and seeing pretty much the same conversation as the other ones. They should all be merged into one.

"Only the test of time will tell us if these phones bend more easily than they should"

does not =

"just haven't bend yet"

You are 100% incorrect

What would be really interesting is if all the people with bent phones would share their production week so we can at least see if there's a trend

On that line about 2 types of iPhone 6 users, it is true. Just as true as saying

There are two types of people:
Those who have dated a supermodel.
Those who have not yet dated a supermodel.

Not going to get in a pi$$ing match with the king. I have spent a little time reading the threads about bent phones to see what people are experiencing. Your posts pop up all over the place in these threads and you mentioned your age in one. Didnt take a whole lot of time/reading to get that info.

Nope. The closing qualification didn't cause the preceding comment to disappear. His assertion in that post and one before it was that there are two kinds of iPhone 6 Plus'. Ones that are bent and ones that haven't bent YET. Emphasis his. So, again, this goes directly to his mindset. He wants his to be bent. My point stands.

I notice you completely missed my point. I wasn't actually smearing you. It was an example.

Sure. There are only two kinds of people. Those who have died in a car crash and those who haven't died in a car crash YET.

I am talking about my experience, I think that's what this forum is for.
If this ever goes to court, of course I'll document my case a little more, but I don't think we're there yet.

And there's the OPs endgame play - aiming for a theoretical class-action lawsuit over an alleged bend even he admits is imperceptible to the naked eye. The fact that you had to resort to such an arbitrary, nonscientific "test" to even detect any alleged bend in the phone speaks volumes about the lack of severity of the perceived issue. No photos, video, or other tangible evidence provided to support your claims even after being asked for such proof, and playing the victim card in the thread title itself.

To be honest, it sounds like you've been looking for a reason to claim "my phone bends too!" based on your original post and follow up comments since the day you first got the phone. As for me, I'll continue to use my PERFECTLY FLAT iPhone 6+ in the same manner as prior iPhones without worrying about things.

This. This exactly.

At least to, I don't know, gather information?
Study an issue.

Granted, while I do think the phone is capable of bending, I've alwasy thought this issue was made way, way too emotional and hyperbolic.

This seems to be a trend someone claiming to have a bent phone. It almost seems like someone trying to keep the conversation going about the latest fakegate everyday.

I'd really like it if all those attacking folks complaining about a bent phone would take their 6 Plus out of their cases permanently and see what eventually happens. That would be a real bend test!
Not me; I'm not a naysayer.. Haha!

The only time I feel like bending is possible is during sitting and standing when I get in and out of my car. Sometimes, my thigh pushes the phone into my waist while it's in my front left pocket.

Just so the naysayers include me in their stats, my 6+ has started to bend after 15 days of use.

The bent is not yet visible to the naked eye, but failed to pass my daily test:

- place it, screen down, on the same surface

- tap it on each of the 4 corners

Until today, the phone was as flat as the table, today it started wobbling significantly when taping two opposite corners.

Have had every iPhone since the first generation, have used this one the same way, carried in front pocket when on the move, and usually on a table when at home or work. Never used in a back pocket, didn't run into any situation that prompted me to check if my phone was damaged either, just day to day normal usage.

The phone has been in Apple Leather case from the first minute.

There are already a couple of negative impacts from the slight bend:

- when tapping on keyboard with phone flat on table in its case, phone wobbles

- phone has become noisier when vibrating if on a table

You may have been the latest when you posted this but I'm sure there has been a few thousand more bends since.

Sigh indeed. You just proved that the logic behind demanding a picture is utterly flawed. A photograph proves how it was bent? The people who cry foul because "no photo" aren't even bothering to (or maybe just can't) think their position through.
